Obama says the military are fighting on his behalf

What? Troops can't multitask?

Yeah..they are fighting on his behalf, your behalf and to defend the US constitution.

Here's the other thing.

They are fighting on behalf of every other American in this country.

Go troops!

:clap2:

the oath of office is to support & defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign & domestic. We obey the lawful orders of the President of the United States as Commander-in-Chief, but we fight on behalf of the American People & the Constitution.

And what?

The President isn't part of the "American People" club?

Since when?

The Presidency is the office a person holds, not the person. We fight on behalf of Barack Obama as an American citizen, but not as the President. There is a difference. We obey the POTUS' orders as Commander-in-Chief, but the military is not the President's personal security force either.

Troops fight on behalf of the American people. This may come as a shocker to the Birther crowd, but Obama is an American citizen. Nothing he said was untrue.

And, he's the Commander in Chief, civilian head of all our military forces who do his bidding because he has the Constitutional authority to direct them. When bids them "Go here and do this," they go here and do this. When he bids them, "Go there and do that," they go there and do that. It's his authority to do that and their responsibility to do his bidding.

Something sounds creepier about it when you use the term "do his bidding", but I agree.
