obama isn't the only one who heard it. The Will of the people have been heard around the world. Do you think Assad, Russia, Iran have no idea that the people are steadfastly against the presidunce? No matter how the vote goes, it is well known that the presidunce does not have the people behind him. In effect, obama has already lost. If there is any retaliation at all, even a small one, obama is going to be blamed for it.

Demonstrably Congress isn't pushing for any such thing. If they were, the vote would have happened already. obama would have to pitch nothing.
