I didn't say Obama never raised a tax. I was actually agreeing with you that while the payroll tax cut was - theoretically and mathematically a reduction in a tax levied on Americans, the feewing you and I have inside is that it was actually a tax hike. We should not let things like math get in the way of our feewings, and continue to loudly proclaim that tax hikes are Obama's answer to everything.

We are being taxed MORE.. not less.. and you know this

The income tax rates are the same in 2012 as they were in 2008. In fact, since the brackets have moved upward, the total tax rate on X dollars in 2008 is higher than the same X dollars in 2012. In 2013 there will be a tax hike on those making more than 400k - a problem most people would love to have - while taxes remain lower or the same for everyone else.

Again though - I do understand I need to be cautious when using numbers to talk about these things. What is most important is that I feew Obama raised taxes on me. Everyone knows he did, right? We see it on FOX and on Breitbart, and I know we could just look at the actual tax rates in 2008 vs. now and make a cold-hearted decision of "this rate was lower" or "this rate was higher" based solely on mathematics and the definition of inequalities - but I refuse to be guided by logic. I feew as if Obama raised my taxes, so its true.

Only people making 400k or more will see an increase in income tax. The Medicare tax increase is only applied to people in the top tax bracket. The penalty tax is only applied to people who can afford health insurance but irresponsibly choose to not buy it. The previous three statements do not apply to me or the majority of Americans.

However, I will not allow the fact that no one has been able to actually show me what additional tax I will personally pay to interfere with my feewing that I just know Obama is raising taxes on me. He's up to no good - I know it - you know it - who cares about the details?
