300,000 Low-Income Louisianians Gained Healthcare Today As Bobby Jindal Is Replaced By Democratic Governor

Louisiana’s long nightmare is finally over. Piyush “Bobby” Jindal has finally stepped down as governor of Louisiana, leaving his state a disaster that yet again must be cleaned up by a Democrat. He leaves his office with the second lowest approval rating in the nation – just behind Kansas’ Sam Brownback. He will be remembered for turning a $2 billion surplus into a $2 billion budget shortfall by giving billions in corporate handouts for jobs that never materialized

He will also be remembered for eviscerating the public school system. He replaced those schools with privatized charter schools, deepening racial segregation and allowing creationism to be taught in those taxpayer-funded schools; Mother Jones even discovered that kids were being told that the Ku Klux Klan did “community organizing.” He then abandoned his state to make a dead-on-arrival run for the presidency, running on a platform of anti-gay and anti-immigrant discrimination.

<snip>

Now that Jindal's been replaced and as Louisianan's get healthier, better educated, and have more money in their collective pockets to support their families...
In a couple of years, I expect the highest rate of gun violence in the nation will begin to decrease.

So more filthy ass welfare queens that think they are entitled to have somebody else to pay their bills are going to get more freebies?

but but, Nancy Pelosi said they HAD to pass this in order to GET all the Freeloaders off our backs. and the I'll be damned if that wasn't another lie. because most of these are BEING SUPSIDIZED with increased TAXES on the citizens of the country. these dem/commies are snakes. but they suckered in a lot of people so what the hell can we do. we tried to have it repealed.

My "healthcare" went from $700/month to $1,200/ month. My deductibles tripled.

Fuck you Democrat Socialist beasts from hell. :fu:

You seem more concerned about cost than about health care?
So this election cycle is perfect for you-----for you to choose...

...there are several options being floated in this election cycle... which do you prefer?

- Going back to pre-Obamacare with about 16% of our fellow Americans not having access to any healthcare except the very expensive emergency room care that taxpayers pay for, 15%-20% increases in insurance premiums every year, 10-25% administrative costs, as well as losing the Obamacare externalities like pre-existing conditions, etc, etc, or

- do you prefer Bernie's Medicare For All, 2-5% administrative costs, cost lowering universal healthcare paid for with payroll taxes or

- do you prefer Hillary's somewhat more complicated cost lowering universal healthcare plan?
.

You left out what should be an option building on #1 above.

If you don't like that someone doesn't have coverage, pay their premiums yourself instead of supporting some plan where taxpayers are forced to do it.

are you kidding. their generosity only extends so far. they would never consider something like that. but expect EVERYONE else in the country to pay for it

That was the point. Liberals believe generosity means seeing how much they can get the government to force form someone else then take credit as if it came from them personally.

The article doesn't say they "gained Health Care today".
It says:
He has promised to issue an executive order to begin expansion preparation within 24 hours, aiming to have the process complete by July 1st.

I'm well aware of that. That's the offer I put on the table anytime some bleeding heart demands the rest of us fund programs. Like I said on another post, they define generosity as supporting someone they think has too much being forced to fund something bleeding hearts support.

One of the most recent examples is their support for Sanders college funding. They call it an investment yet can provide zero support for how that investment will pan out. They SAY it will do all sorts of things yet have nothing to show it will. When I invest, I can look at the history of how those investment have worked when making the choice. Some have and some haven't. However, the difference is when they didn't, I had no one to blame but myself because I made the choice.

Wait. I thought there were 14M without health insurance and Ocare was going to cover all of them?
It would have been cheaper for every family in the US to send a check for $500 to a doctor to provide treatment to two patients.
