All over the news today...Official: PPACA/Obamacare: It's Over!

The Fight, it's over. The Tea Party has lost another one.

:clap2: Sanity has intervened, the wingnutty media mouthpieces who have been pushing this imbecillity are being pushed aside: budget talks will NOT include the radical, reactionary, rightwing ridicousness know as the fight to defund/kill Obamacare.

Actually everyone loses if Obamacare is funded and there is no proof the fight is over except for the agreement by both parties to do this in the link below:

The talk is how Paul Ryan wrote an op-ed piece on the wsj, and not a mention of what started this all: PPACA/Obamacare. :laugh2:

YAY! The left wins yet again!!! I really think this is the GOP's last stand, and it's pretty much done now.

I thought it was just a temporary solution for the debt, while the govt is still shutdown because they are not budging..

Time to allow an up or down vote on funding the government? Obamacare is off the table, so what is the big deal?

Hello Tea Party, is anybody home? :eusa_shifty:

The rightwing will take down the GOP if it means hurting Democrats and especially the President.

Time for the US House to elect a real leader for the Speakership.

Why to the taxpayers have to fund that time off??

Funny how those Clowns have no problem paying with taxdollars. Let those furloughed folks use their vacation time just like I would have to do.

1) Republicans plan to introduce a 6 Week debt ceiling extension. Six Weeks.

2) We win. We win because we got dimocrap scum to show themselves to actually be the Nazis we've always known them to be.

3) We win because the ACA is an abysmal failure. We don't have to kill it. It's committing suicide

Poll: Health exchange rollout gets poor reviews

WASHINGTON (AP) — The government’s new health insurance marketplaces are drawing lots of rotten tomatoes in early reviews, but people are at least checking them out

Seven percent of Americans report that somebody in their household has tried to sign up for insurance through the health care exchanges, according to an AP-GfK poll.

While that’s a small percentage, it could represent more than 20 million people.

Three-fourths of those who tried to sign up reported problems, though, and that’s reflected in the underwhelming reviews.

Overall, just 7 percent of Americans say the rollout of the health exchanges has gone well. Far more deem it a flop.

You call that a victory? You're even more stupid than I thought. And I didn't think that was possible.

We win. You lose.

In Nov of 2014, we take 11 Senate Seats away from dimocraps and pick up 20 more House Seats.

Easy.

Defunding Obamacare makes it an unfunded mandate on the middle class to pay Billionaires even more. Repeal it or fuck off!

Worth a quick read.....

David Malpass: The Bigger Battle Behind the Shutdown - WSJ.com

At its core, the shutdown is part of a much bigger battle to restrain the federal government. It is spending $3.6 trillion per year without a budget, and its expenditures are expected to increase rapidly in the years ahead.

Meanwhile, the government has piled up $17 trillion in debt and $60 trillion more in unfunded spending promises. The Federal Reserve will borrow $1.1 trillion in 2013 alone to buy bonds—and it reserves the right to borrow unlimited amounts for future bond purchases without congressional or presidential permission.

These are crisis-level problems. Whether the government is open or closed, they are surely grounds for immediate talks between the president and Congress on ways to pare ineffective federal programs, restrain spending and reduce borrowing.

WASHINGTON–House Republicans plan to unveil a six-week debt-ceiling increase Thursday that doesn’t include additional policy conditions, according to people familiar with the plan. The legislation marks a major breakthrough in the deadlock that resulted in a partial government shutdown and threatens the country’s ability to borrow.

GOP leaders are expected to outline their latest proposal to rank-and-file Republicans at a closed-door meeting on Thursday morning, according to people familiar the matter. The unveiling comes hours before top House Republicans head to the White House for their first session with President Barack Obama since the shutdown began last week.

This one? The one that doesn't work? Or is there another I've missed.
