If the Marine leadership had any integrity, everyone in the Marine Corps with a star on his shoulder should resign. This isn't about making the country safer or about making the military be able to do its job more effectively or about protecting the troops and is entirely about The Feels and pandering.

If the Marine leadership resigns over the issue, the Commander-in-Chief will just replace them with compliant yes-men.
The Marine Corps leadership should just do one of two things:
1. Once the female combat personnel are trained, make them a separate fighting ground unit in the field.
2. Replace the President with a Marine Corps general.
Personally, I've long believed that since the person in the Oval Office is the Commander-in-Chief of our military, he/she should have served honorably in the military in some capacity. He/she doesn't have to have been an officer, just someone who has served to that he/she really understands the military. To have this qualification, we need an Amendment to the Constitution making that a requirement for the office.

And it FAILED miserably. The Army had to cancel the program and go back to segregated training.

Army infantry training is at Fort Benning GA. That is where the males attend boot camp. Women go to Ft Leonard Wood or Fort Jackson. How would what you claim be possible if they are not even on the same post?

I wonder if he realizes that my daughter is an Army ROTC cadet in college and their summer training units were co-ed. I kid my daughter all the time about "sleeping with the guys" in her unit when they are in the field.
