Yep...you read that right. The new subvariant Xbb1.5 is more likely to infect the vaccinated and those who have previously suffered from COVID-19...

New York City health officials are warning residents that the infectious omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 may be more likely to infect people who have already been vaccinated or infected with COVID-19.

“Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 now accounts for 73% of all sequenced COVID-19 cases in NYC,” the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene tweeted on Friday. ” XBB.1.5 is the most transmissible form of COVID-19 that we know of to date and may be more likely to infect people who have been vaccinated or already had COVID-19.”

More likely to break through and infect those who have had covid or have been vaccinated than OTHER VARIANTS..... Having had covid or vaccinated still protects some against death or severe illness, is how it reads.... Especially the second tweet encouraging the shot or booster shot, from the same person.

It does NOT MEAN those vaccinated or previously infected are more likely to catch this strain/varient than those unvaccinated....but more likely compared to previous variants.

Yes , the poor Gullibles are suffering from VAIDS -- their autoimmune systems have been weakened by the Killer Shots .They are at higher risk from anything and everything

But looking at the broader picture this will increasingly benefit the Pure Ones .
As the Impure die off in numbers from many different injuries and diseases it will lead to reduced demand and price reductions .

Empty properties and abandoned cars . Ships , boats and trains as the song says .

Hurry up and die suckers .

You're not vaccinated. I suggest you look up the definition of vaccine

Sounds like the pandemic is winding down. That doesn't mean the original doses and boosters weren't worth it.

I can see how you could read it that way...but the vaccine doesn't keep you from getting or transmitting omicron...it only reduces the severity.

So it can only mean IMO that those who have been vaccinated are more likely to get it. Which makes a certain amount of sense.

Imagine how a virus and immunity work

The older variants that infiltrated a vaccinated person and attempted to procreate using the method the spike protein blocks would die ... but the virus that survived as the new variant does so in a way that circumvents the spike protein immunity.

It has mutated to defeat the spike protein immunity...and those without the spike protein immunity are now not as easily infected by the method used by this new strain.

Not saying this is correct...but just my interpretation based in my limited knowledge.

Depends. If variant Xbb.1.5 circumvents the spike protein infection method...we might be going around again. Read my post above this one. Your comments are welcome.

Do as you like. Not like it really matters if any of us lives or dies in the grand scheme of things.

From your link.......

The department added that getting vaccinated against the virus, including receiving an updated booster shot, remains the best way to protect against hospitalization and death, including from new variants.

Incredible .
