On 1 September The US Should 'LIGHT UP' The Taliban's Inherited Weapons

Sure he would

Sure

I couldn't agree more and you can bet your ass Trump would have gotten our people and all that hardware out. He wouldn't hesitate to blow Bagram up and destroy it all.
Explain how Trump planned on getting thousands of weapons out of Afghanistan.

Sharpies do not work on weapons.

Growing threats of ‘suicide attacks’ in Kabul; Americans told to get away
Growing threats of ‘suicide attacks’ in Kabul; Americans told to get away

Terrorists are blocking routes and impeding Americans' ability to reach the airport. They
are preparing and poised already to begin the attack on the airport on 1 Sept, if not sooner.
They are preparing to begin the slaughter.

The moment the Taliban, ISIS, and / or Al Qaeda kidnaps or murders the 1st American Joe
left behind the US Military should strike, reigning down hell on every known weapons cache,
every armored vehicle, every helicopter, every aircraft left for the now non-existent Afghan
military, denying them the use of any of it. TLAMs, strikes from air bases stationed in the
surrounding countries - LIGHT THEM UP.

Of course, this would take b@lls, too, and Joe has proven he has none.

I agree with your "lighting up" concept, but then you ruin it with ignorant remarks about Biden. Having or not having "balls"is not relevant. Pragmatism and unintended consequences are the name of the game, two items that were never put into play with trump who made decisions based on his "gut."

These were never meant to leave Afghanistan and were never meant for the Taliban.

In its ridiculous attempt at 'Nation-Building', the United States re-build Afghanistan's military, trained its troops / pilots, and supplied them with their military vehicles, aircraft, weapons, and supplies.
- One agreement the US had to make with other surrounding nations was that the US would not Afghanistan with any weapons that would allow it to project power (bombers, strike aircraft, attack aircraft other than perhaps short-ranged helos)

The problem they did not foresee was the Taliban sweeping back through Afghanistan, corrupt city leaders handing over their cities without a fight, and the Taliban ending up with all the weapons/gear.

(Remember, much of the state department agencies and govt planners who came up with this idea are cookie-cutter cut-out Ivy League Govt-Think-Tank majors who all suffer from 'Group-think', and no one bothered to think tactically or strategically regarding what the Taliban might / could do....and now we hafe this giant clusterf*)

President Potatohead won't "light up" anything because Obama's Taliban buddies will have over a thousand American hostages.

They may have been for the Afghan troops but once the Afghan leaders boogied the Taliban will have them.

If Trump were still POTUS they would have all been flown back home on C-130's which is how they got there. Too bad. The Taliban, who couldn't fly a bike, now have Blackhawks, jets and other planes along with hummers and thousands of guns and tons of ammo. All courtesy of the US of A.

If Trump were still POTUS he would bomb the shit out of Bagram.

The moment ISIS / the Taliban seize several hundred US civilians....they're dead. The ability for the US to plan and execute rescue missions for HUNDREDS of captured US citizens is nearly impossible. Scattered all over the place, not held in 1 central location - if you pull off a successful rescue mission of some, ISIS begins beheading more in retaliation.

The best chance at survival these Americans have / had at surviving was a Commander and Chief sending in troops to seek, find, and recover US citizens in Afghanistan before 31 August.

Not sure if they would have been flown home, due to how swiftly the Taliban swept through Afghanistan....but you can bet he would have launched strikes on all of it as we were walking out the door.

Agree but the real answer would have been to exit from Afghanistan in a competent manner like Trump would have done.

1. Secure equipment.

2. Evacuate civilians

3, Close bases

4. Remove troops

President Potatohead decided to get the troops out first while closing the bases. He didn't pay jackshit attention to the civilians or the equipment. Now the Taliban have all the equipment, a thousand American hostages and the US looks like an incompetent nation with our allies pissed at us.

Stolen elections have consequences.

Instead of Congress certifying the fucking stolen election on 1/6 they should have called for an audit. If they had done that Trump would be President now and we wouldn't be having this clusterfuck and dead Marines.

Meister
Yeah Blackhawks none of them could fly along with the planes none of them could fly. I doubt they were left for the Afghans and should have all been flown home months ago. Hell they don't even have mechanics to work on hummers never mind planes and helicopters.
How does one fly a helicopter across the ocean?

But Trump Didn’t get them out

He had much more time than Biden and Biden was forced to continue what Trump was doing
fuck that shit with a red hot poker.

biden has reversed a double shit ton of trump policies, he could have done this one too.

stop being whatever the fuck it is you always seem to be.

What exactly did Biden do that wasn’t in the deal Trump negotiated?

The Blackhawks were issued to Afghan troops to defend themselves with. They failed.
We were in no position to confiscate them

C-130s? You wanted to get them home this decade didn't you?

Our primary airlift capability is the C-17 Globemaster II. We didn't leave either of those behind that I have seen.

Admiral Rockwell Tory
LOL Yeah I did. C-130 is a workhorse for the military. Didn't know about the C-17. Have heard about the Globemaster though. I assume they have different size. Thanks for the info.
