On this day in 1939

Well, because Stalin was sooo buddy buddy with Hitler, originally. Socialists stick together. Until hitler proved to be a disingenuous little scamp. Operation Barbarossa became a stick in the wheel of socialist hegemony.

Jaden Smith! Non binary, high heel wearing, total failure Jaden Smith? Ohhh. This is going to be funny.

Then Russia invaded Poland and most of the world did not utter a word.
This is probably because, at the time the Red Army crossed the Polish border, Poland as a state ceased to exist, since it's government allready fled to Romania.
The Red Army occupied the territories of Western Ukraine and Western Belarus, which until 1920 were within the borders of Russia. So, the USSR returned what it lost during the war with Poland in 1920.
Unlike the "strange war" waged by the allies with Germany, the USSR really protected the population of these territories, stopping the germans from advancing to the East. By the way, this saved millions of jews, who were able to evacuate from there to the east of the USSR after the Germany attack in june 1941.

Russia and Germany formed an alliance prior to WW2. The Russian invasion of Poland wasn't noticed because the Nazi army had the country under control soon after the invasion of September 1, 1939. Nobody noticed the Russian invasion of Poland because nobody noticed the Nazi invasion of Poland.

It's not like the Brits or French had any forces there to stop it, and certainly the U.S. didn't, so what is the point here? That Jews weren't The Center Of The Universe and we're all scum for not making them so? The Soviets weren't sinking American shipping with unrestricted submarine warfare, and declared war on us first. In fact quite a bit was said about both the Soviets and Hitler for years during the 20's and 30's, it's just that nobody bothers to look it up.

Why would we back Germany? Certainly the Brits wouldn't.

The head of the Polish state Security, Soloch, demanded that Germany explain Scholz's words that Warsaw, demanding reparations from Berlin, could receive a revision of the borders
What is not clear? Part of West Prussia, part of Silesia, Eastern Pomerania and Eastern Brandenburg, Danzig.
Gifts of bad tyrant Stalin must be returned.

Poles were enthusiastic supporters of Hitler; they cheered as the Nazis came and marched Jews off to the trains to the death camps, and Polish police manned the cordons around the ghettos and guarded the train stations at the camps. Nobody needs to give a crap what Poles snivel about either. I'm glad Truman wasn't stupid enough to waste American lives rescuing eastern Europe from the Soviets. They deserved a lot worse. The same goes for Red China. They made their own beds.
