"We're losing more Americans every day because of inaction ... than drunk driving and homicide combined," Dr. David Himmelstein, a co-author of the study and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard, said in an interview with Reuters.

Overall, researchers said American adults age 64 and younger who lack health insurance have a 40 percent higher risk of death than those who have coverage.

As Rep. Alan Grayson said, the Repub/pottie health care plan is three-fold -

Part 1) Don't get sick.
Part 2) If you do get sick...
Part 3) Die quickly.

That's it. That's what the US has come to. Other countries get excellent health care while we just pay the high taxes for it.

Oh Alan Grayson says.....
How many Americans are going to be able to cover the high deductibles that their
new ObamaCare policies carry?

I'm pretty sure we all have the same risk of dying.

Not even close.

No. You don't get to hide behind that.

The Repub/potties have said "... replace".

Where's the replacement?

Fail OP, sorry.

(Reuters) - Nearly 45,000 people die in the United States each year -- one every 12 minutes -- in large part because they lack health insurance and can not get good care, Harvard Medical School researchers found in an analysis released on Thursday.

Not one every minute.

Not ALL due to lack of health insurance,
~~~~
"Another factor is that there are fewer places for the uninsured to get good care. Public hospitals and clinics are shuttering or scaling back across the country in cities like New Orleans, Detroit and others, he said."
First of all, one death per minute is 525,600 deaths per year. Did you read the article you linked to? The one that says one death per twelve minutes?
We all die. The risk is the same. Or do you really think that an inability to pay a medical bill is license for a doctor to refuse his services? You know that's against the law, right?
The same would die even with insurance. What a crock of shit.
45,000 a year, almost a half million uninsured dead in ten years and the right to life party still says trillions for war (and killing), sure, why not, but no money for commie national health care that other modern countries manage to have. Right to life, sure.
45,000 per year is significant. I wonder how high that number spiked towards the last few months of 2013 factoring in the millions of Americans who lost their insurance because of Obamacare. It'll also be interesting to see the results for 2014 at the end of next year.
Good point. People are losing insurance coverage because of this administration. Does that mean Obama and his fellow goons are criminally liable?
Luddly is dishonest in his title, dishonest in his story.
When you are being dishonest, there is no common ground in which one can actually discuss or debate.
Disgusting how some people can't be honest at all.
Sounds like a weapon of mass destruction. They should hang him by the neck until dead.
If you have to lie to make your point, you have the credibility of Grayson.
You're quite right that I misquoted the article. it actually reads,
(Reuters) - Nearly 45,000 people die in the United States each year -- one every 12 minutes -- in large part because they lack health insurance and can not get good care, Harvard Medical School researchers found in an analysis released on Thursday.
Which is, IMO, shameful.
I would like to know how old these people were and what killed them.
If an 80 year old geezer dies from a massive heart attack and didnt have insurance does he count?
If only the federal government was in charge of health care, no one would ever get sick or die
If only....
