Police declared a riot around midnight as Portland protests continued for the 80th consecutive night.

Black Lives Matter protesters in Portland ‘hurl softball-sized rocks and glass bottles at cops’ during ‘violent’ night.

Around 30 people were participating in the Patriot Prayer rally in front of the Multnomah County Justice Center trading paintballs and pepper spray with counter-protesters.

Police stated the demonstration of a couple hundred people had an unlawful assembly Friday night, throwing fireworks, golf balls, and chunks of concrete at officers. Some of those in the crowd wore the word “press” on the outside of their clothing “as cover,” police said.

Officers said they used crowd control munitions and smoke but no CS tear gas to disperse the crowd.

One of the tricks protest agitators use is to throw a missile (legally, anything you throw is a missile) and blend back into the similarly dressed crowd. When arrests are made, police can't positively identify who threw the missile.

So, police use the paintball to tag the thrower of the missile and when arrests are made, it's easy to identify the person to be charged.

I prefer military grade lasers to tag the guys who blind the police with their lasers.
