Papa John say's Obamacare will cause pizza prices to rise

You will need Obama Care if you eat at Papa John's :eusa_angel:

He just doesn't want to pay his employee's anymore than he has to. I ordered a pizza to be delivered and they charged me $2.00 extra and the delivery guy doesn't even get the money. Most pizza delivery people pay for their own gas, car insurance, are probably on minimum wage with out health care.

When I worked there in the late 90's it was minimum wage + tips + 75 cents a delivery. I supply the car, the gas, and the ruptured disc from lifting a bag of dough into the dumpster.

They're basically looking to get young folks who aren't yet fully aware what the total cost of owning a car is in terms of repairs, maintenance, and the cost of eventually replacing it. If they maintained their own fleet it would cost them 4 times as much - but they can conveniently push the cost of that fleet onto suckers just entering the workforce.

Let's all be real here for a sec....Papa John's catch was always the garlic butter for dipping your crust.

That's why I always got it.

If you have to dip you pizza for it to taste good, something is fundamentally wrong with it

Same thing with having to put a lime in your beer for it to taste good

:D

Or steak sauce on a steak

Naw, the crust not the whole slice. I like garlic more than just about anything.

I like A1 too...I don't have to have it, but I enjoy it.

Exactly,
many of the kids are in school, but being I have 2 teen boys wanting pizza I have seen many delivery adults doing it to pay the bills and after taxes is nothing. So I always try to tip them well. Sorry about your disk.

If that 14c is really going to make a difference to you, then you shouldn't be ordering pizza in the first place.

You got that right...
who the hell has a problem with another $.14 on pizza....

Or...

Another $.05 on coffee
Another $.03 on milk
Another $.07 on sugar.

on and on it goes..... the friggin Libs just love to spend others peoples money...

Papa John is a wingnut asshole raising money for Romney!

Look at the lefties sneer at business. "No food for you, then."

Morons.

Sneering at business, or this douchebag. No, I don't want to pay a living wage. No, I don't want to pay for health care for my workers. No, I don't want the government to pay for their health care.

He sounds like you, trefgrl.

Papa John's CEO Says 'Obamacare' Will Up Pizza Price

August 9, 2012
The CEO and founder of Papa John's pizza wants investors to know that when the president's health care law takes effect, the price of pizza is going up with it.According to "Papa" John Schnatter, the cost of providing health insurance for all of his pizza chain's uninsured, full-time employees comes out to about 14 cents on a large pizza. That's less than adding an extra topping and a third the price of an extra pepperoncini. If you want that piping hot pie delivered, the $2 delivery fee will cost you 14 times as much as that health insurance price hike."We're not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our industry," Schnatter said on a conference call with shareholders last week, as reported by*Politico.*"If Obamacare is in fact not repealed, we will find tactics to shallow out any Obamacare costs and core strategies to pass that cost onto consumers in order to protect our shareholders' best interests."

Sounds like a good guy.
Rape the consumer to protect the fat wallets of his shareholders. Yeah, sounds like a class act.
No wonder he invited Romney over to his house.

Interesting that the man is THAT honest and THAT anti- American.

Amazingly your acknowledging that 14 cents is some kinda threat came out in the open without any appology. If true...your hopes of ever getting out of the parents basement and having a place of your own with a kitchen where you can explore the world of REAL food will never be realized.

Sad.

Look at the lefties sneer at business. "No food for you, then."

Actually, no one could be more moronic than someone whose screen name has the word kosher in it.

For YEARS, John Schnatter has been spending millions of dollars buying prime time airtime to promote his company mantra. "Better Ingredients. Better pizza. Papa John's"

And in one moronic and candid moment he just told you he has been lying all along.

Do you REALLY believe the "Better Ingredients" are also the ingredients that 'protect our shareholders' best interests? Do you REALLY believe superior-quality ingredients are also the cheapest?

14 fucking cents? And conservatives are bitching about it. Jesus christ. I guess thats a small price to pay so that health care costs can finally go down and people get the care they need.
