Parents threaten to walkout of middle schools pro homosexual propaganda agenda

After reading the link, the "Acceptance Week" sounds more to me like a week of victim training more than anything else.

These things tend to alienate even allies. It's about creating an Us vs. Them atmosphere.

It isn't about healing and moving on. It's about, "Look what they did to us!" I think that is counter-productive and encourages a feeling of being separate rather than feeling accepted. We've made this mistake of pretentious overcompensation for our sins before, and it has done deep harm to the bodies who have struggled to rise from oppression. Rationalizations which seek to justify holding onto resentments deny the persecuted any sense of belonging to our society as a whole.

I understand the pain of our history, but we should be celebrating the fact America is a country where we can and have overcome our flaws, not harp on them.

I consider this more crap I have to accept in life. Wouldn't it be great if I didn't have to think or believe anything I didn't want to.
