It looks like cartoonists all over the world will have to be very careful since it certainly appears that there are many Muslims who agree with the murderers of the "Charlie" group. The brave cartoonists will pay no attention and still go on with their work, believing in freedom of expression.

CAIRO, Jan 8 (Reuters) - After Egyptian cartoonist Andeel took to social media to condemn the slaughter of colleagues in Paris, he received expressions of sympathy - often not for the victims but for the suspected Islamist gunmen.

Some respondents on his Facebook page criticised the attack at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo newspaper, in which 12 people including several of France's top cartoonists were shot dead on Wednesday.

Muslims have a problem with the true portrayal of Islam in these cartoons, it seems.
