"Specifically, Ryan's demand that the "motion to vacate the chair" be overhauled could be, as one lawmaker put it, a "non-starter" for the House Freedom Caucus and its 30-40 members. Several members in the group told Fox News Tuesday night that they had no intention of giving up this tool for Ryan.

"Further, it's far from certain that Ryan could extract an endorsement from the caucus, in order to be the unity candidate he envisions. Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Kan., one of the leaders of the caucus, said Tuesday that Ryan had laid out "unacceptable conditions."

"The House Freedom caucus had already endorsed Rep. Daniel Webster, R-Fla., for the job when McCarthy was running, and so far that doesn't appear to have changed. Webster also signaled Tuesday he's still running, even as another candidate for the job, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, bowed out to make room for Ryan. Maybe what they really meant was that they were gonna pay healthcare providers less for procedures performed, as a way to control rising costs. The problem with all that is that when the corporations started bringing in millions upon millions more after the '84 amnesty agreement, the public hospitals would run out of money for free care by May in many cases. The tax base was being reduced greatly by the displacement of high paying jobs with a solid tax with low paying black market labor that paid hardly any taxes at all.

Obamas ACA is flawed because it was not the product of debate and compromise from the other side. And these flaws resonate with each new year such that there was no net increase in enrollments this years, as I understand it.

ACA needs reform, not to be totally tossed out, but rebuilt. I think that there are ways to do it, but I have little trust in the Corporate cronies that are in charge, especially after the election of the Dictator of the House Ryan. I simply cannot wrap my brain around the complete surrender of power to a single man.

I'm having some trouble wrapping my mind around this thing. How can they possibly use the word "freedom" in their name, when just about everything they propose is in fact a denial of freedom. I thought we had some sort of truth in advertising laws on the books to stop horseshit like that?

Yeah abiding by the laws of the land is now considered denying freedom...only in America.
