but in contract terms, he and Kim signed a "letter of intent." It doesn't obligate either party do anything, or receive anything. But it does set out the parameters of what a deal may be. That is, if Kim removes all nuclear weapons, the US will "normalize" relations, whatever that is - presumably stop economic sanctions even if Korea continues to sell weapons to terror list nations? and possibly pull out our troops?

An actual agreement requires a timeline, specific "duties" of each party, and detail consequences if either party doesn't live up to the agreement.

It's a good start, and it beats name calling and threats of blowing each other up.

We shouldn't bash Trump for stopping saying bad stuff, although perhaps he shouldn't do a bromance with a mass murdering dictator, but at the same time, the Trumpots might want to stop hailing him as their conquering hero Caesar

It's not bromance. It's butter on toast.

"You can get a lot more with a kind word and a gun than with just a kind word."

He got the best deal in 65 years when three Americans were released without paying a dime. Don't forget President Trump's slick foreign policy technique of getting China aboard to pressure N.K. when they were shooting at us during Truman's war that never ended.

He didn't get anything yet, JC. No stop drooling.

Ehhhh, I don't know. I mean with Trump you get Trump. He's more than happy to gush over murderous dictators. And he's more than happy to threaten a nuclear attack.

Nixon made nice with Mao, but we knew what Mao was about. And at the time, Mao was on the way out, and China was backing away from the Cultural Revolution and inspiring Pol Pot.

And when Nixon told Russia that supplying the Arabs to destroy Israel would result in a nuclear war, they knew he wasn't bluffing.

But Trump is in early days with Kim. We'll see.

He got him to sign a document that says something. Name another president that got that. He got three hostages back. he got kim to stop firing off rockets. You fking think that everything would be completed with the signing of a document, when the issue is as complicated as rocket science? So the first space craft made it to the moon? You know absolutely nothing about what you're talking about. and you are ignorantly posting on a message board demonstrating your hate at our great country.
