Phony socialist Bernie Sanders buys $600,000 lake-side SUMMER HOME

Not trying to attack Sanders, but how did he get so much money? It came out in the Primaries that he hasn't held very many jobs in his life. Is his Senate pay really that good?

Owning three large homes seems like a lot for a guy who hasn't really held many lucrative jobs. Can any Sanders supporters here elaborate on how he's gained so much wealth?
Well, what are you suggesting? How do you believe he earned his gains?

I'm really not attacking. I'm just curious. I'm asking his supporters because they should know a lot about him.

Again -- (a) he's had 75 years to build a nest egg, and (b) his wife's inheritance.
How are either of those in any way unusual?

Try asking Donald Rump's supporters (they're very athletic) the same question and see what you get.

Just asking. I mean, if you can afford three beautiful homes, you have to be bringing in some serious cash. But you've answered it a bit. You say his wife's inheritance plays a big part. I can see that.

The most hilariousest part of this thread is that these same wags just a few months ago were having hissyfits over the premise that in 75 years he hadn't acquired ENOUGH money. Now it's suddenly the other way around, and we have always been at war with Eastasia.

Most hypocritical thread EVAH.

Well in fairness, Sanders has made a career out of attacking wealthy people. So i think it's fair to ask about how he's made so much money. It's been widely reported that he hasn't held any lucrative jobs. So owning three homes does raise some questions. That's all i'm saying.

Well he's not a communist !

You know there's a difference , right?

Doesn't he bitch about rich people and opulence? I love how you people bitch about the rich...but only if they're republican

Opulence?
Not sure he's ever used the word, but where do you get the idea the house is "opulent"?

Y'all have any idea what real estate goes for around there? Zillow
How many middle class Americans own a $600k summer house?
Several that I have known and worked on their houses...
So your definition of middle class can pay $12,000 a month in mortgages. Got it.
The house that the Sander's bought was with inheritance monies given to his wife..

Communist leaders always live in luxury.

So do capitalist leaders.

Yes, they do. But they don't do it by destroying the middle class and enslaving the people. That's a progressive thing. Capitalists realize they need a middle class for them to prosper. Progressives despise the middle class so destroy them whenever they get the opportunity. Either by regulating them into the poor house, or by mass murder like Stalin used.

Once again this...
Well in fairness, Sanders has made a career out of attacking wealthy people.

--- has been brought up before in this thread, and was challenged for veracity.
And once again --- when those challenges were issued, nobody could back up that premise.

So........................................... no. It's a strawman and that's all it is. Because no, he hasn't.

Lot of money to be made running for President ... if you're a Democrat.
How?

Sen. Bernie Sanders: Campaign Finance/Money - Summary - Senator 2016 | OpenSecrets

June 2016

Cash on hand .... $3,893,826
Debt ..... $700

Anything else I can research for you? Clearly, you don't seem to be able to do your own.

You do realize that's his campaign fund, not personal wealth?

Morons likes Sparebrains haven't yet figured out the difference between personal wealth and campaign funding that CANNOT be spent on personal items....except, of course, if you're Trump.

No, they do not know the difference. It is like the fact they do not understand that there are different types of Republicans and Conservatives and different types of Democratic voters and Liberals...

The OP'er read the word Socialism and it conjure up Stalin in their mind while not knowing the difference between Socialism and Communism...

Nope it conjures up Lenin and Marx. Uncle Joe is what happens when the system as prescribed by the aforementioned gentleman inevitably fails. The people figure out it's bullshit and people like you and Uncle have to use guns on the population.

HAHAHA. Are you serious.? Candidates spend campaign donations (actually bribes) on themselves all the time. No one is ever prosecuted for this crime since everyone in govt does it. THINK

And the answer is obvious. He takes bribes. They all do. That's why congressmen can't do anything right - they don't try to. They sell their vote on every issue.

Bernie Sanders Just Paid An Unbelievable Amount Of Money For A Summer Vacation Home

aug 9 2016

Bernie Sanders proved capitalism is alive and well when he paid a whopping $600,000 for a lakefront home in Vermont this week.

The former presidential nominee purchased a spacious, four-bedroom home with 500 feet of beachfront on Lake Champlain that his family plans to use seasonally

So what? I grew up on a beautiful waterfront farm my grandparents purchased for my mom and dad and us kids. 160 acres on Orcas Island in the American San Juans just South of the Canadian border. 1500 feet of beach with a small private island in front. It is now a hotel and guest farm. In 1959 they paid $40,000 for this treasure of a property. The main house was built by my mom and me. It has 10-12 rooms not counting the kitchen area and a couple living/recreation rooms plus a mud room and a spacious laundry room. It has been remolded somewhat by the new owners.

Pebble Cove Farm

Our place makes Sanders place look like a transient shack.

PS. My grand parents and parents and I and everyone in my family were devout REPUBLICANS. Imagine that?

Life is always good for the Socialist Political Elites. But that's not the case for the People. Take a good look at Venezuela. The People aren't doing too good these days. How many of them live in lavish lakeside homes like Sanders?

Here fuck-head....for you and the rest of your moronic ilk.......

.......Jane Sanders even added the extra tidbit (probably anticipating the criticism) that the sale of her own family’s vacation home in Maine precipitated the purchase of the Lake Champlain house.
