Those Houtis seem determined to get to Hadi. Meanwhile, too many are dying in these clashes.

ADEN, March 19 (Reuters) - An unidentified warplane attacked the presidential palace in Aden on Thursday after rival forces fought the worst clashes in years in Yemen's second city, an official and residents said, in a sharp escalation of the country's months-long turmoil.

Thirteen people were killed when forces loyal to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi fought their way into Aden's international airport and wrested an adjacent military base from a renegade officer, Aden governor Abdulaziz bin Habtoor said.

It was forces loyal to the former President that took over the international airport in Aden and sent the aircrafts.

How many are not "too many"?

Don't be such a silly Little Boy. I know you are not keeping abreast of what is happening in Yemen because it doesn't involve your idol, but there have been loads murdered. You don't think all those (well over 100 murdered at prayers in a mosque yesterday) killed don't mount up. Imagine going in to pray and instead you are blown up.

Yemen's Houthis replace air force chief in power struggle: military sources
SANAA Tue Mar 17, 2015 6:42am EDT

(Reuters) - The Shi'ite Muslim Houthis, who control much of Yemen, have removed the air force chief for refusing to provide them with air support and replaced him with a general who is closer to their group, military officials said.

The move shines a light on the divisions in Yemen's shattered military as the Iran-backed Houthis and embattled President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi vie for control.

Hadi fled Houthi house arrest last month and re-established his presidency in the southern port of Aden, while the Houthis control Sanaa. The United Nations, which is brokering talks between the two sides, has warned of imminent civil war.

Major General Rashid al-Jund along with the air force's chief of staff was dismissed on Monday and placed under investigation by the Supreme Security Council, a body formed by the Houthis after they seized Sanaa, the military sources said.

Nope. They don´t bomb their own gov´t.

Looks like the former President and the Houtis have hooked up. No wonder the Houtis were able to fire the Air Force General and replace him with one who would be amenable to their commands.

Houthi rebels in Yemen have seized control of the country's third largest city, prompting an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

The Houthis seized Yemen's capital, Sanaa, last year and the president, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi was forced to flee to the main southern city of Aden.

Now the Houthis and forces loyal to former president Ali Abdulah Saleh, who was ousted in the so-called Arab Spring, have seized Taiz, about 170 kilometres from Aden.

Do you realize, Little Boy, how silly you are with your "Al Qaeda" flag bit? There are so many articles on the Internet about Yemen on the brink of a civil war, and you are claiming it is not so. Meanwhile, since you love Assad so much, how come you are not back in Syria helping him out? You actually have no interest in Yemen if you are not keeping up with the news. You are only interested in playing sentinel for your pal Assad in case something derogatory is said about him.

You are still not in Saudi Arabia? What about a job as supply coordinator in the Islamic State, then?

As the rebels took over the capital and a new government is installed, the war draws to a close.

"Yemen's Shia Houthi rebel movement has announced it is taking over the government and dissolving parliament.

The group took control of the capital Sanaa in September, forcing the resignation of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi in January.

The declaration will be seen by many Yemenis as the final stage of a Houthi coup, although some may feel that it could offer some hope of greater stability.

The UN's point man on Yemen, Jamal Benomar, headed straight to Saudi Arabia after the failure of talks to try to achieve some kind of political consensus there."
