The real loser is the consumer. We are seeing that right now. Due to a certain person’s hatred for China, we have customers who have been waiting over a year for their new car. New car lots are void of new cars. All because someone didn’t want to buy chips from China.

It has to do with the American consumer being fucked over by politicians and those politicians calling it making American great. If you don’t want to have Mexico involved in making parts, find a new supplier first. That would be a worthwhile endeavour for Elon. Invest in American companies making American products in America.
