BREAKING: Donald Trump throws a desperate Hail Mary pass to save his 2024 campaign and demands in a new filing that the sprawling criminal conspiracy against him in Georgia be thrown out because he has something called "presidential immunity."

This is the strategy of a man who knows that he's cooked...

Trump's team has filed a motion to dismiss state-level criminal charges against him in Georgia in an effort similar to how he vainly tried to argue against the federal election subversion case. At this point, it's clear that his shady attorneys have just run out of ideas.

"The indictment in this case charges President Trump for acts that lie at the heart of his official responsibilities as President. The indictment is barred by presidential immunity and should be dismissed with prejudice," the absurd motion reads.

The so-called "presidential immunity" claim argues that Trump was working in his official capacity as president when he sought to overturn and undermine the 2020 election — and thus cannot be prosecuted for his actions.

Of course, what he is really arguing here is that presidents are above the law, that they should be treated like kings able to do whatever they please. We cannot allow such a precedent to be established.

Donald Trump must be held accountable for his actions. He must be prosecuted in court.
