A court stenographer diligently typed the records of a trial of a notorious dictator in Libya, accused of being generally a bully.
At the end of the trial, the dictator who was found guilty cried out in frustration, "Your tedious stenographer is as much a slave as any of my citizenry were!"
It's strange how politics can feel like normal conversation...
