Political hypocrisy and communication aside, how are politicians different than dogs?

I have 3 dogs, and they always compete over a stick. the purpose is to be the one carrying the stick that I throw. the dog with the stick in possession always has his tail up, while the other two tail down. They sometimes bark at me for attention like politicians sometimes speak out against the establishment and even against the IMF, but know very well when to behave and who is the boss. Politicians have this thing where they pretend that they care about the society, dogs don't have that, but they have these cute innocent faces to compensate for the lack of communication, faces that say I am innocent to me, although I know perfectly well what hypocrites they are and how they bark every time they don't get the stick, we even call them turds, because of their hypocrisy. So really, can anyone else explain to me how my dogs and our politicians are different?
