President pants on fire is at it again

Here is what the article said. What is wrong with it?

He gave a premature estimate of the cost of the wars in the Middle East.
The $7 trillion cost, “as of about a month ago,” that Mr. Trump cited appears to refer to an assessment from Brown University that tallies war appropriations, increases in the Pentagon’s war budget, veterans’ care, increases in spending at the Department of Homeland Security and interest payments. Researchers at Brown estimated in September that war spending had reached $4.8 trillion and could total $7.9 trillion by 2053.

Yeah, we read that. How is that a lie?
This is how...
FACT CHECK: Has The US Spent $7 Trillion On Wars In The Middle East?

I couldn't give a rat's ass what Fact Check has to say about it. In the long run, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Whether it's true matters only to petulant snowflakes who want someone to admit that their infantile hatred of Trump is justified.
Then just say you don’t care if he lies because he is progressing your agenda. Don’t make yourself look stupid trying to defend the obvious

Its the NY Times and your OP that's full of lies, big whopper blatant lies. :eusa_liar::eusa_liar::eusa_liar::eusa_liar::eusa_liar:
Wonderful. Point out the lies and tell me why. Oh you can’t? I’m not surprised

Is our president being fed bad information or deliberately choosing to distort the facts? If he is getting bad data then the carelessness of not vetting before repeating is embarrassing and the alternative makes him an outright liar. None of it is even necessary, all it does is discredit what he says... are we living in the twilight zone or is it just cool to act this way now?

That conservatives defend Trump and his lies renders them just as reprehensible as Trump, if not more so.
I've already proven that Obama lies 100 times more than Trump. Virtually every sentence of his inauguration speech was a lie. Yet, all you snowflakes worship him as if he was a messiah.

Can you list a few?

There's a whole website devoted to the C grabbers lies.
> 1000 as we speak I think
Messiah? It was the C grabber who said he could shoot someone on 5th ave and his uneducated cult wouldn't care
Glad to see you have a pic of his tiny fingers

Here are a few lies he told us at his inauguration:
  1. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we, the people, have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebears and true to our founding documents.
  2. On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
  3. On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas that for far too long have strangled our politics.
  4. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions -- that time has surely passed.
  5. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.
  6. We'll restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost.
  7. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.
  8. All this we can do.
  9. All this we will do.
  10. What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them, that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply.
  11. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works -- whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.
  12. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end.
  13. And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
  14. Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill.
  15. Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with the sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
  16. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we'll work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet.
  17. We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense.
  18. To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds.
  19. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to the suffering outside our borders, nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.
  20. What is demanded, then, is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility -- a recognition on the part of every American that we have duties to ourselves, our nation and the world; duties that we do not grudgingly accept, but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character than giving our all to a difficult task.
  21. This is the price and the promise of citizenship.
These are lies?
I thought the C grabber made these generalities too
Where did you paste and copy them from? Breitbart?
I guess you are not a world traveler.
Everybody loved Obama.
Now our pres is known as a big mouth ignoramus bully

Yes, they are all lies. They are far more deserving of that label than the silly stuff the NYT reported about Trump.

So we know this is a stupid hatchet job piece and Trump should have never given an interview to the failing New York Times.

When Trump says 7, and you call him a liar because the truth is anywhere between 5 and 8, you are the liar.

NYT put Abu Ghraib on their front page for like 100 straight days, yet they wholly ignore Uranium one.

Angus, what’s your deal? Trump said we have already spent 7 trillion dollars. The reality is that the war efforts are estimated to cost 5-8 trillion in 2053. How are you not understanding this?

So he didn’t lie.

The NYT piece is about the lies from the interview.

He said 7. It wasn’t a lie.

Source for what? These are trump quotes. Are you implying that they are not his words? Or are you claiming the fact checks are wrong? Tell me what specifically you are not believing to be true.

The article didn’t call it a lie. They called it a premature estimation then explained the details of the estimation which don’t fall in line with Trumps statement which implied that we had already spent that money

I don’t mind examining every Trump lie from the article.

Let’s take them individually.

First one:

He inaccurately said the claims against Paul Manafort occurred “many years ago before I ever heard of him.”

The two men reportedly met in 2011. Paul Manafort joined the Trump campaign in March 2016, was promoted to campaign chairman and chief strategist that May and was ousted that August.
Mr. Manafort is accused of serving as an unregistered agent of Ukraine from at least 2006 to 2015, laundering payments from 2006 to 2016 and making false statements to investigators from Nov. 23, 2016, to Feb. 10, 2017

If Manafort was serving as an unregistered agent of Ukraine in 2006, isn’t that before he and Trump met in 2011?

Was their factchecker wrong about any of it?

The NYT really exposed how Trump is Hitler and he stole the election from Hillary.

Thank God she will run again in 2020. She was robbed and deserves another chance to flush a billion dollars down the toilet.

You are mincing words liberal style.

Now you are saying a falsehood isn’t a lie?

Do we need to break down the point of the article?

If he didn’t lie on his estimation, why the need to point it out as a falsehood?

You know why the article was printed.

I just said that the times didn’t call that a lie. They called it a premature estimation and then explained the situation. Got anything else you want to distort?

Some claims against manafort happened before he knew Trump and some after. Making Trumps statement not factually accurate. Next

Trump is such a liar.

Thank you, New York Times, for keeping everyone so well informed.

We would be nowhere without your unbiased reporting.

Thank you for existing and saving democracy.

Trump said 7, but it’s really between 5 and 8....no one knows....so Trump is a liar.
