I agree with this move 1000%. Libs have promised Excellent Paying jobs in green technology for Deplorable Americans. Putting tariffs will make it a lot more economical for libs to fulfill their sacred vow to make Flyover Country the big source for Green Tech to presumably save the planet.

I think that Obama has made deals with China to make solar panels for the U.S. for the Paris agreement. And so Pres.Trump is taxing those solar panels that comes from China. Which that will make Americans to buy American. China solar panel cost less, because of the import tax are very low. But now, that it will bring the prices up on Chinese solar panels, which it will create more jobs here.
