Indeed,you obviously don't comprehend the workings of this...could have read the article but do it your way. EVERY other military branch was being paid but Coast Guard wasn't because leftists hate national security and the CG is under the Homeland Security department which hasn't been funded yet.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn, go look up and compare Obama's first two year military pay increases - both years - to Don's first two year pay increases for the military. Who shut it down and claimed the shut down? I'm not part of The Reality America Show. Cheers.

If that's true I hope that you'll consider checking out a source that you're using to make a claim, and making sure that 1) the source is credible, and 2) the info you want to present can be verified by other credible sources as well. Unfortunately in this case there is no credible evidence that Trump "personally" intervened to make sure that the Coast Guard got that one-time-only payment. He is bound by law just like you and me, and doesn't have that power.

BTW, our local Coasties are still working despite the lack of pay.... but the town is taking care of them.
