My first gun was a Christmas present. It was a M1 Garand still wrapped in greased paper. I was ten.Man, when I turned 18 I got me a gun. My buddy said I should get one of them 7.62 X 39 SKSs for about $115 bucks. I paid $80 for my gun, and bullets cost about $1 apiece. I looked at them little itty bitty bullets and laughed, just like I do about AR bullets. That's just me.
65 vs. 180 grain, and mine is moving faster, baby.
We would buy a small wood barrel of army surplus cartridges for something like five bucks. Then lay on our backs and fire rounds at flights of Canadian geese going overhead. Once in a while one of us would bring one down. Those really were the days!
Today my favorite gun is a Remington using Norma Magnum 308 loads.
I can evaporate a watermelon from 1000 yards.
I only use my guns to put meat on the table.

AR 15's are legal semi-auto .223 rifles. Tens of thousands of people use them for sport and target shooting and that translates to entertainment unless you are afflicted with TDS.I guess this is trump's idea of entertainment....

LolIf he said that it is stupid. AR-15's are used in VERY little crime. Rifles are not used in hardly any crimes. Handgun are used. However, they are NOT toys.

My Bushmaster has never jammed, not once. And I have put thousands of rounds through it. It is important to keep it clean, which I do.The AR-15 is the stepbrother of the M-16 and both are good at jamming.

Yup loads of people compete in shooting contests across this country.
AR-15's and all guns can be and are used for entertainment.
Even more fun to print out photos from the web and tape them to our targets....lots of hearty laughs in the line. High entertainment value.
For me though, out past 50 yards, I cant hit shit with my Saiga in 7.62 x 39.
. Semi-auto's are boring imo....far more fun to spend hours plinking with my little rimfire .17HMR. What a hoot!

Lol....that's why my choice was a Russian made unit. I never have to clean my AK....I'm too lazy. But I can cycle a ham and cheese sandwich through it and the ammo is cheap. Most amazing machine ever made imo.

I always clean whatever rifles I used at the range immediately when I get home.

Nah, it took 12 shots per deer. A poor shot needs the extra rounds and the rapid shots to get the animal. Not much meat left though. But damn, he has fun head, neck, heart, gut, blowing off a leg or two. Now, that's a real sportsman.
