Imagine the conservative outrage at a president who allowed:

* A U.S. embassy is bombed in the Middle East. Seventeen Americans are among the 63 killed. The president condemns the attack but does not retaliate.

* A U.S. Marine barracks in the Middle East is bombed. Two hundred and forty one Marines die and 100+ more are wounded — the worst day since Iwo Jima. The president calls it the saddest day of his presidency, maybe his life — but calls off a retaliatory attack for fear of harming relations with the Arab world. The president later orders a full retreat from that country.

* A second U.S. embassy is bombed in another Middle Eastern country. The president takes no retaliatory action.

* A top American official — the CIA station chief in a Middle Eastern country — is kidnapped. The U.S. decides that to free the hostages, it could sell weapons to a nation linked to the hostage takers — even though the nation is considered a terrorist state. The CIA chief eventually dies, and the weapons scheme blows up in the administration's face.

* Another U.S. embassy facility in the Middle East is attacked. Two U.S. servicemen are among the 24 people killed. Once again, the president orders no military response.

* A Middle Eastern hijacking leaves two U.S. government personnel dead. There is no American military response.

* Another Middle Eastern hijacking leaves a U.S. Navy serviceman dead. Terrorists dump his body on an airport tarmac. There is no American military response.

* An entire cruise ship is hijacked in the Mediterranean. A 69-year old American tourist is killed and shoved into the sea. The hijackers later flee on a jet, but instead of killing them, the U.S. forces the plane down so the terrorists can be dealt with in court.

* Airports in Rome and Vienna are attacked. Twenty people are killed, including five Americans. The U.S. knows who did it, but instead of retaliating, sends planes to that country's coast to patrol

Your article forgot to mention how that same President bombed the Libyans responsible for the attack and then collapsed the Dem Home team, the USSR, freeing tens of million from the horrific oppression of Soviet Communism.

Oops, slight oversight

Obama Fluffers wearing out the kneepads and calling for back up

This whole Benghazi hissyfit on the right is just a lame attempt at payback for all the bashing that the GOP took over their failed Iraq War, and failed Osama bin Laden hunt.

Conservatives aren't going to get back the foreign policy advantage they had prior to their Iraq War failure by throwing a pity party about edited talking points after the Benghazi attack.

Bush's failures and flops cost you the White House in 2008 and 2012, and I predict that they'll still be a useful weapon against the GOP in 2016...and conservatives will only have themselves to blame for it.

The people of the eastern bloc were the one who overthrew their government. They get full credit.

You forgot to mention that O's team completely undermined the libyan president when he told the admin that benghazi was a terrorist hit but yet the admin pushed a video that had no relevance to the attack.

It's not out of line to want to find out who is accountable here.

The Dems answer is to blame everyone because in their world if everyone is responsible then no one is at fault.

So.....none of the following peak your interest?

1. According to the White House spin machine, a satirical video was the cause of the attacks...but no intelligence organization was claiming that.

2.According to White House supporters, reinforcements were not sent because they believed that they would arrive too late to stem the attack.....exactly where did the attackers post their timeline of 'begin attack.....end attack'?
BTW....it lasted six hours. How did the White House know that it wouldn't last six days?

3.As of this moment, there has been no Presidential timeline released....implying that Obama went to bed, unconcerned, so that he could awake, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to set off on his fund-raising.

4. "Even as the White House strove last week to move beyond questions about the Benghazi attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2012, fresh evidence emerged that senior Obama administration officials knowingly misled the country about what had happened in the days following the assaults. The Weekly Standard has obtained a timeline briefed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence detailing the heavy substantive revisions made to the CIA’s talking points, just six weeks before the 2012 presidential election, and additional information about why the changes were made and by whom."

Obama had a lot of promise. But he allowed the ugly corrupt Chicago Politcal Machine to run the show. This latest IRS travesty is a good example of that. Sadly, he's just a powerless lame duck from here on.

Today, Jimmy Carter is seen as feckless and weak. But it was the inaction of his successor, Ronald Reagan, that Osama bin Laden cited as an example of American weakness. In a 1998 interview with ABC News, the al Qaeda leader claimed that weakness "was proven in Beirut in 1983, when the Marines fled."

Your guy was born of the ugly corrupt Chicago Political Machine. It's who he is. They merely took their awful show to the White House. It's a real shame. He did have promise.

Uh huh

1. Why was the Consulate unguarded?

2. Why didn't Obama send for help after the first desperate calls came in from the Consulate?

3. Why did Obama lie about the attack and say it was a "Spontaneous protest" over a "Video" nobody saw?

1. Well....how about the encouragement Reagan gave the protesters....?

2. And, in comparison....the mistake in the White House couldn't be bothered to even, verbally, support the Iranian Green Revolution:

"When the mullahcracy that seeks the nukes in order to attack Israel rigged their presidential election even more clumsily than usual in order to return Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to office, Iranians poured out into the streets in protest for months. Curiously, Barack Obama made no public overtures for weeks to the opposition, and the White House at one point even confirmed the results of the rigged election. Later, when the opportunity passed, Obama and the White House insisted that the Iranian opposition never asked for help from the US.

Today, the Washington Examiner reports that the leaders of the Green Revolution did indeed ask Obama and the West to help them push out the mullahcracy:

Documents obtained by The Washington Examiner suggest the Obama administration missed at least one major opportunity to help opposition groups in Iran that has not previously been reported. In November 2009, leaders of the Green party, which had staged a revolt on the streets of Tehran in June of that year, sent a long memo through channels to the Obama administration that some analysts said was a clear call for help."

What an illuminating comparison between the two Presidents: One who behaved like a President.....and a community organizer.

Yeah, ask Gorby how "Feckless and weak" Reagan was for putting Minutemen and Pershing II Missiles in Europe

Gee....Gorbachev didn't say that....

"Reagan was made from far sterner stuff than was his Soviet counterpart. His genial grin and wise-cracking demeanor concealed a spine of steel when push came to shove. Yet at their next meeting in Reykjavik in 1986, where Gorbachev would not budge on the "Star Wars" question, Reagan was decisive and unforgiving. He recalls in An American Life how he stood up from the table to proclaim that the meeting was over. Then he turned to his Secretary of State: "Let's go, George. We're leaving." Like any good diplomat, Shultz was crushed by so much roughness, but Reagan was completely unfazed. Later on, he explained: "I went to Reykjavik determined that everything was negotiable except two things, our freedom and our future."

Surprisingly democrats haven't dug up George Washington to show us how superior obama is to that old white guy.

obama failed. Deal with it. His administration is over. It might limp along until he leaves office but to all intents and purposes it is over. obama knows it. It even made him cry.

Jimmy Carter was a lot of things, but he wasn't corrupt. That cannot be said of this current President and his regime. The awful corrupt Chicago Political Machine simply relocated to Washington. It's all corruption at this point. And this President can't escape the Machine. Because it's who he is. It's unfair to compare Jimmy Carter to him.

TWA Flight 847 was an international Trans World Airlines flight, which was hijacked by members of Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, on Friday morning, June 14, 1985, after originally taking off from Cairo. The flight was en route from Athens to Rome and then scheduled to terminate in London. The hijackers were seeking the release of 700 Shi'ite Muslims from Israeli custody.[1]

The passengers and crew endured a three-day intercontinental ordeal. Some passengers were threatened and some beaten. Passengers with Jewish-sounding names were moved apart from the others, and U.S. Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem was killed. His body was thrown onto the tarmac

what saddens me is he could have been a voice to help bring this country together. He has done nothing but divide it further.
