The climate carnage in Puerto Rico is offering a chance for the political establishment of the United States to salvage some of its credibility. The people there are suffering greatly from a collapse of vital infrastructure that has pushed them to the brink of societal disintegration. Political corruption tantamount to the kind of elitist robbery that has been going in in the US for decades has left their electrical grid in a state of destruction. The people are living like Neanderthals.

This is a great opportunity for political thieves like Bill and Hillary Clinton to donate the hundreds of millions of dollars they have scammed from the public with the Clinton Foundation to the relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Bill and Hillary have been presenting themselves for many years as saviors of the downtrodden and now they can walk the walk.

Bill and Hillary Clinton, two longstanding swindlers of the modern American political establishment can finally atone for their greed and dishonesty. They should immediately make arrangements to transfer the entire booty of the Clinton Foundation as well as the sum total of their ill-gotten personal wealth to the Island of Puerto Rico and its besieged people.

It’s no secret that the majority of the American population believe Bill and Hillary Clinton should be handcuffed and dragged to a retirement community surrounded by barbed wire and patrolled with armed guards. Due to the malfeasance of the FBI and the Department of Justice along with the lion’s share of the US political establishment that is not likely to happen.

But we can hope that through some miracle Bill and Hillary will see the light and forgo all the underhanded promises they made to their subversive accomplices to sell out the American people and deliver to the people of Puerto Rico much needed relief.

We could then hope that Bernie Sanders, another defender of the poor and marginalized in our society would sell one of his mansions and give the profits to Puerto Rican citizens. Surely Bernie can spare the money as he is famous for blaming the rich for our failures.

Bill, Hillary and Bernie could then spend the rest of their lives living in public housing and earning fifteen dollars an hour. They could actually show us the way instead of just being the usual evil leading the stupid. No doubt the victims in Puerto Rico would be eternally grateful.

It's a real shame that PR was hit so bad but their situation is largely of their doing. They are an island out in the middle of the ocean, and they are just a territory of the US. Not even a state. We'll do everything we can but I've heard that the PR's are not even helping themselves! We have tons of trailers full of cargo sitting at the docks unable to get to them for lack of any infrastructure to deal with it! Meantime, FEMA is stretched to breaking already dealing with East Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. If anyone thinks the likes of the Clintons would donate millions to help PR, wake me when it happens. The truth is that PR was going bankrupt BEFORE this happened, and now there is literally nothing left of the island. Nothing. The real question is where is the PR government? This is a grave matter for world relief and humanitarian aide (where are the other countries?) and it will take years and hundreds of billions before PR is ever the same again. PR is a real humanitarian crisis! Something must be done very soon.

First, Trump should "atone" for his corruption in Puerto Rico.

This is something for all of us to think about. Our own infrastructure is weak albeit not to the extent of the Puerto Rican debacle. Think about not being able to bath or wash clothes or procure clean drinking water. A corrupt government does harm no one can see coming until it hits.

Sadly funny. Maria was seen "coming" long before it hit Puerto Rico.

Yes, it is a good opportunity to think, and to understand why only a fool would trust his health, wealth, and well-being to the Federal Government. It's also an excellent opportunity to understand why the Founders didnt want the Federal Government embued with that power or responsibility.

Boy, you've certainly swallowed 25 years of Republican lies regarding the Clintons haven't you? Republicans had to do Something to vilify the most popular and successful US President since Kennedy. Republicans came up empty in Investigation after investigation in regards to claims of their corruption and fiscal malfeasance. $100 million in taxpayers money has been squandered by the Republican Party, who even hired a Soecial Prosector with orders to "get the Clintons". No evidence has been found, not even a single witness has been found, and the only charge that has been laid against either of the Clintons, has been in connection with a blowjob.

Bill Clinton has admitted to mistakes in the Haiti. The Clintons thought if they could provide jobs in Haiti, the improved economy would help build infrastructure. The businesses and opportunities failed leaving the Haitians with nothing - no jobs, no infrastructure, and no benefit from the money.

On the other hand, a large chunk of the money the Clintons raised was paid to the US Military, at the behest of the Republican Congress which controlled the purse strings, for the costs of the military responding to the disaster in Haiti. So there is lots of blame to go around on this. The same holds true of Benghazi but vilifying the Clintons in order to keep Hillary out of the White House has been a full time occupation of Republicans since Bill left office. Let's give credit where credit is due. It worked and God help us all.

But getting back to Puerto Rico, Trump went bankrupt in Puerto Rico and stuck the taxpayers there with a $33,000,000 tab. Trump blames the Puerto Rican government for the failure of that resort because, well. . . nothing is ever Trump's fault. Everything he does is HUGE, the best, the most successful ever, except he went bankrupt in Toronto, and Atlantic City, twice, so call me crazy, but the consistent theme I'm seeing here is that Trump goes bankrupt - a lot.

For a small economy like Puerto Rico, to build a lot of infrastructure Trump was supposed to pay for, means that a lot of their own got neglected.

The weekend Maria destroyed Puerto Rico, Trump went golfing, even though he knew that US citizens were in peril. There were no cabinet level meetings or administration plans discussed until Trump returned to Washington on Monday.

Even though the island has been totally destroyed and there is no food, water gas or electricity which the first responders there need to deal with the crisis and American citizens are dying, Trump got pissy with the Mayor of San Juan on Twitter.

What can you say about a man who would do such a thing while Americans are dying? The mayor of San Juan is literally begging to save peoples lives, which are in imminent danger. It is Trump's first responsibility as President to ensure the safety of American lives in the event of a natural disaster. That's his fucking job!!

This is not the time to be playing golf Mr. Trump.

Yes, why wasn't the island evacuated?

3.4 million people (many of whom wouldn't want to go) evacuated in 4-5 days. Yeah.

There are many ships in the area capable of taking thousands. They could have taken those most greatly at risk, the elderly and the sick. Better than doing nothing. Dominica is only 60 miles to the west.

Here are the ships in the general area of PR RIGHT NOW. These are the exact ships and I can tell you what each one is:

These are all BIG SHIPS. They are like that all the time. Now which idiot is going to tell me people could not have been evacuated before Maria, or these ships used now to get supplies to PR?

The elderly and the sick are the ones least capable of getting to the docks for evacuation. And they're also the least willing to go.

Why didn't those elderly people who died in in that nursing home in Florida get evacuated? The hospital was directly across the street from the nursing home?

Added to which, the hurricanes went through the Caribbean 1, 2, 3. How the hell were ships supposed to traverse from wherever to PR and out again with hurricanes swirling all around them and at them?

Why do people live in on hurricane prone islands and territories at all? Why don't we evacuate all of the Caribbean islands and the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of the US and this wouldn't have happened at all? There! Problem solved.

God forbid Americans actually expect the government to look out for one another in a crisis. You've got money for tax cuts for millionaires and corporations but none for your fellow Americans. Let your countrymen drown. They're just too lazy to save themselves.

What has any of this to do with Puerto Rico? With the Clintons having their Clinton Foundation, that thing they did in Haiti and the Clinton Global Initiative, it certainly seems to me that the Clintons should be able to snap their fingers and in a minute, have rich people all over Hollywood and the WORLD pitching in to the tune of 500 million to help the suffering people of Puerto Rico! That is, if they ever really cared about such things in the first place! Oh, but wait! Hillary spent so much money trying to elect herself and disappointed so many people who invested heavy in her, I guess she's worth JACK now!

But lies? Are you f---king kidding me? Look who is lecturing others on swallowing bullshit!!!

Tell me, WHICH of these is a "lie:"

Why Trump's Not So Bad

Her life as wife of Arkansas Governor 30 years ago was laced with scandal. Her time involved in the Watergate trials in the early 70's was laced with scandal. Her time in college was laced with scandal!!! These are all part of the public record and if you think they are all a fiction started when she was in her 20's by some vast "Conspiracy," I take it back, there are indeed people with less brains than a carrot!!!

Republicans had to do Something to vilify the most popular and successful US President since Kennedy.

Who the HELL are you even talking about? Hillary? Bill? Obama? Didn't need to do anything to vilify the Clintons, they did that all to themselves and Obama? He and Bill were popular but Obama successful? The MOST successful??? DO PLEASE TELL US WHAT HE SUCCEEDED IN to make him the MOST successful! I mean, you are the bullshit that dangles off the bullshit that hangs off a bull's ass!

The elderly and the sick are the ones least capable of getting to the docks for evacuation.

Pure ROT. They are loaded into vehicles and DRIVEN THERE.

And they're also the least willing to go.

Fine! If that's the case then screw 'em! They have no one to blame but themselves.

Why didn't those elderly people who died in in that nursing home in Florida get evacuated?

I have no idea. Why? Maybe because unlike Maria which was on a very fixed and predictable track, Irma was almost impossible to predict where it would go! And they probably thought the building could take it, and/or rescue could get there quickly. And the building should have had an emergency generator.

Added to which, the hurricanes went through the Caribbean 1, 2, 3. How the hell were ships supposed to traverse from wherever to PR and out again with hurricanes swirling all around them and at them?

ROT. They knew Maria's track many days in advance. As far as marine traffic, I monitored it during those hurricanes. They only avoid the eye. They continue right on through the outer parts of the hurricanes otherwise. These are BIG SHIPS and they have a delivery or deadline to make.

Why do people live in on hurricane prone islands and territories at all? Why don't we evacuate all of the Caribbean islands and the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of the US and this wouldn't have happened at all? There! Problem solved.

Now you are being outright ridiculous. Not quite sure just what you are arguing against, people TRYING to get out of the way of a hurricane?

God forbid Americans actually expect the government to look out for one another in a crisis. You've got money for tax cuts for millionaires and corporations but none for your fellow Americans. Let your countrymen drown. They're just too lazy to save themselves.

Ahh! There it is! It's OUR fault! The old Class Envy Shtick! Those evil rich people and big corporations! Boy! The world must be a very unhappy place for you, so imperfect. Have you ever thought of starting your own country and showing us how it is done right?

I live in one right now. Canadians help one another in times of crisis. It's in our Constitution and we are required to do it.

It's why our country is on the rise, while yours is declining. Selfishness and greed is not good for countries or their people. The United States used to know that. What happened to you people? These are American citizens who are supposed to be able to count on your help.

This has nothing to do with social class or envy and everything to do with putting your fellow citizens first.

That's the Dominican Republic, not Dominica. Dominica was hit twice by those hurricanes.

You really have not put much thought into these hair-brained schemes.

A ship carries food and water for its crew. It is not equipped for evacuations. Most of them probably could not get into some of the ports.

If that's the case, Puerto Rico will feel right at home. Our government is just as corrupt.
