UNRWA is not a peace keeping mission.Ya might be surprised how quickly this would be solved if they were unfunded.....they have rejected goodfaith offers three times..........enough is enough
UNRWA not only is the UN's largest and most expensive operation, it's sole purpose is to serve Palestinian "refugees." Sixty-six years after its establishment it has become a self-perpetuating sugar-daddy providing not only for those hapless "refugees" but thousands of UN jobs for friends and family of member states. Any serious investigation into the recent Israel/Gaza dustup must include calling UNRWA on the carpet for their cooperation with Hamas, allowing their "schools" to be used as armories. Look for the UN to sweep it under that carpet. That would not exist without Israel.
UNRWA not only is the UN's largest and most expensive operation,....
Israel is a very expensive place for the world,
As always you CHOOSE ignorance, Tinman. Of the UN's current 16 peacekeeping missions - of which UNRWA is not one - 9 are in Africa and 6 are in the Mideast and Pakistan. Most are majority Muslim states and all have significant Muslim populations. Obviously Israel isn't the problem but thanks for playing.
Current peacekeeping operations. United Nations Peacekeeping
Lame dodge. You blithely ignored the FACTS so I repeat:
Of the UN's current 16 peacekeeping missions - of which UNRWA is not one - 9 are in Africa and 6 are in the Mideast and Pakistan. Most are majority Muslim states and all have significant Muslim populations.
Conclusion ... virtually all of the UN external missions are maintaining peace where Muslims live by the sword. Obviously Israel isn't the problem but thanks for playing
