The longer one remains under the tutelage of the social sciences, the less wise one become.
Students will be manipulated and lied to in the effort to turn out believers, and apparatchiks.

An egregious essay by a Liberal intellectual, published in the NYTimes, could not be more illustrative of the sort of lies, tortuous theses, and exaggerations that pass for education in our universities.

The author of the polemic is an alleged history professor, IBRAM X. KENDI, "an assistant professor of African American History, with a particular emphasis on racist and antiracist ideas and movements."
Ibram X. Kendi » Department of History » University of Florida

Pay special attention to the slipshod job this propagandist does in the usual Liberal attempt to mislead and radicalize, in the usual Liberal organ of opinion.

The quotes are from this Times article.

1. "When I watched the inauguration of President Trump on Friday, I did not see a nation in the forward motion of racial progress. I saw someone who pledged to take us away from progress and to new walls and more stop-and-frisk and law and order and the post-racial imaginary and to Jeff Sessions and the alt-right."
Quotes from the Trump speech supporting these allegations? None.

2. "...explain how a candidate passionately endorsed by the Ku Klux Klan could succeed the first black president. " This is an excellent example of the racial arson that Liberals have become famous for...

a. This was the Trump response to that endorsement: it "is repulsive and their views do not represent the tens of millions of Americans who are uniting behind our campaign." KKK Paper Endorses Trump; Campaign Calls Outlet 'Repulsive'

b. Nor does it refer to the exuberant endorsement of the Democrats by the Communist Party: "Communist Party USA Chairman Vows Cooperation With Democratic Party The chairman of the National Committee of the Communist Party USA has penned a 2,023-word manifesto making the critical point that American Communists are eager to work with the Democratic Party to advance the modern communist agenda and achieve communist goals.

Communist Party chairman John Bachtell published his essay last week at People’s World, a “daily news website of, for and by the 99% and the direct descendant of the Daily Worker.” Communist Party USA Work With Democrats The Daily Caller

It's a long article, with lots of corrupt contentions.....as examples of the sort of lies that Liberals have trademarked.
This is what they hammer your children with in college.

I'm sure glad the KKK backed Trump, that damn liberal..
same here.

OP should seriously consider "thinking through" her voluminous cutnpastes before flooding Politics with them

thats why I always encourage her to try to get into college or university then she wouldn't be making all of these rookie mistakes

essay by a Liberal intellectual,.

That would be a prime example of an oxymoron

I got ya' point....but I reserve the term 'intellectual' for the way Thomas Sowell uses the term...

1. "Sowell vigorously defends wisdom—practical reason—against an abstract rationalism that values ideas over the experience of actual human beings. Intellectuals, he argues, are particularly suspicious of the ties ordinary men and women feel to family, religion, and country. They look down upon “objective reality and objective criteria” in the social sciences, art, music, and philosophy. Their “systems” tend to be self-referential and lack accountability in the external world.

2. Intellectuals often make the mistake of basing political analysis on clichés that misrepresent reality. Sowell shows, for instance, how debates about income distribution in the United States have been distorted by a preoccupation with statistical categories.

3. Sowell chronicles the willingness of journalists and academics to filter reality in ways that make it much harder to distinguish fact from fiction. Sometimes they simply suppress facts."

All the more reason to homeschool or private school and that is the reason the "intellectual left" despises both

I see the white flag of surrender every time a Progressive attacks PC rather than addressing the vast substance in the OP

And, more from our Liberal professor:

3. ".... to deny the forward march of racism is to deny the successes of American racists. We have paid less attention to the progression of racism that often follows racial progress..."

I deny it. It is a total fabrication.
Where are the examples?

4. "Racial disparities in everything from wealth to health have persisted in the United States because racist policies have persisted, and oftentimes progressed. When the Obamas of the nation have broken through racial barriers, the Trumps of the nation did not give up. "

No examples from the Liberal simpleton...er, professor.....but I have plenty of 'em.
Here is Obama's record:
a. Tavis Smiley: 'Black People Will Have Lost Ground in Every Single Economic Indicator' Under Obama
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-s...st-ground-every-single-economic#ixzz2hihAOpVl

b. (CNSNews.com) – The unemployment rate for black Americans is more than double that of white Americans, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).... In the numbers released today, covering the month of June, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for black Americans age 16 and over was 10.7%, reported the BLS. The unemployment rate for white Americans in the same age group and time-frame was 5.3%, said the BLS. Black Unemployment 10.7%, More Than Double White Unemployment 5.3%

c. "CHICAGO (Reuters) - Predominantly African-American neighborhoods in Chicago have seen poverty rise and services diminish even as the nation's third largest city has become less racially segregated,.... black areas are seeing economic stagnation or decline,.... mostly black areas have lost health clinics, social service agencies and other areas of support..." Exclusive: Poverty up, services diminished in Chicago's black neighborhoods - study

d. And the traditionally black Urban League admitting how bad Obama was...but still giving him an inflated grade.

The National Urban League issued an "excellent" report card for President Obama's eight years, but highlighted numerous and important "failures," so many that they totaled 42 percent of its review.
"While we scored many of the administration's achievements with our highest rating, 'Superior,' President Obama's tenure as a whole had shortcomings due to some notable missed opportunities and outright failures, such as the economic development of urban centers, gun violence and the foreclosure rate and bank closure rate in communities of color and low-income neighborhoods. On these and other issues, we rated the Obama administration 'Fair' or 'Poor,'" wrote Urban League President Marc H. Morial.
The 16-page report card reviewed eight areas of policy impacting urban areas and African Americans, and found that Obama's success to failure rate at 57.5 percent to 42.5 percent. Morial said Obama received the "second highest" overall grade of "excellent." Urban League cites Obama 'failures' for black America in 'excellent' report card

So....a 57.5% gets you a 'superior' or 'excellent.'
I had to work a lot harder than that....but, I'm not black.

Sooo....what has earned the professor's admiration...other than the color of Obama's skin?
And Trump's disfavor....other than his skin color?

The American Right has the biggest, most organized, most powerful propaganda machine in history, and the OP is bitching about liberal propaganda?

Does she know that makes her bitching PART of the RW propaganda machine?

And, fulfilling their role and his, the NYTimes continues the fallacious essay by this fraudulent 'expert on racism.'......

5. "They organized and sometimes succeeded in putting new racial barriers in place, new discriminatory policies in our institutions. And they succeeded in developing a new round of racist ideas to justify those policies, to redirect the blame for racial disparities away from their new policies and onto supposed black pathology."

They, I assume, are whites in general, Trump supporters, specifically.

But it is a slanderous lie.
Where are the examples of this imaginary 'racial barriers' and 'discriminatory policies'???
There are none.

And....the regurgitation continues....

6. "Voting restrictors justified their new laws by claiming corruption in the voting process, deftly redeploying the old racist idea of the corrupt black politician."

"...old racist ideas...."

a. Eric Holder and Obama's Department of Justice was infamous for refusing to protect whites.

"Doublethink. Imagine the Civil Rights Division being the welcoming home to beliefs that are repugnant to mainstream America, namely that civil rights laws do not protect everyone equally, but only certain select minorities. And that the Attorney-General himself, identifies with this belief!" J. Christian Adams, “Injustice: Exposing The Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.”

In his sworn testimony before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, whistleblower Christopher Coates — who then headed the Voting Rights division — testified to a “deep-seated opposition to the equal enforcement of the” law “for the protection of white voters.”
J. Christian Adams agreed that the [Justice] department indicated it would not prosecute cases against a minority defendant on behalf of a white plaintiff. Coates remembered Julie Fernandes, Obama’s Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, telling DoJ employees “the Obama administration was only interested in bringing…cases that would provide political equality for racial and language minority voters.”

"...the old racist idea of the corrupt black politician."
2. United States v. Ike Brown.
Brown was the head of the Democratic Party in Noxubee County, a majority black county. The party ran the Democratic primaries, which served as de facto general elections, and Brown made no secret about his desire to see every government office in the county held by a black officeholder. “You ain’t dealing with Mississippi law, this is Ike Brown’s law,” was his motto. Brown organized teams of notary publics to roam the county collecting absentee ballots, the notaries regularly cast the ballots themselves instead of the voters.

a. During one election, teams of federal observers counted hundreds of verified examples of illegal assistance. Brown lawlessly disqualified white candidates from running for office. Ike Brown institutionalized racial lawlessness, and brazenly victimized white voters during the 2003 and 2007 elections.

And yet, many in the Voting Section never wanted the Department even to investigate the matter.

Imagine the damage being done to students by this racist professor.

And yet more boilerplate Liberal propaganda:

7. "....Americans will continue to be stunned when they behold voter restriction policies, the millions in prisons, the police shootings of innocent human beings, and the election of someone like Mr. Trump."
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/21/...s-is-real-but-so-is-racist-progress.html?_r=0

Not only are there no "voter restriction policies," but the Left has ensured that millions of illegal aliens vote!!!
The former President, the snake, told them to!!!

Photo IDs:
“The findings of this analysis suggest that voter identification requirements, such as requiring non-photo and photo identification, have virtually no suppressive effect on reported voter turnout.
Controlling for factors that influence voter turn¬out, states with stricter voter identification laws largely do not have the claimed negative impact on voter turnout when compared to states with more lenient voter identification laws.

Based on the Eagleton Institute's findings, some members of the media have claimed that voter identification law suppress voter turnout, especially among minorities.[80] Their conclusion is unfounded. When statistically significant and negative relationships are found in our analysis, the effects are so small that the findings offer little policy significance.

More important, minority respondents in states that required photo identification are just as likely to report voting as are minority respondents from states that only required voters to say their name.”

For a thorough statistical analysis of the effect of voter identification requirements:

Yet you can bet which answers will be marked right and which marked wrong on this phony professor's exams.
