The future leaders of the US, the best and brightest, have been groomed by the far left to do away with freedom of speech and religion.

Actually most conservatives have been groomed by the ridiculous right to do away with rational thought and well-reasoned arguments – replaced with inane straw man fallacies and idiotic lies; this thread being one of many examples.

>> Chanting “Bomb Agrabah” might seem like a joke to hardcore fans of classic Disney films, but a recent poll found that 30 percent of Republicans and 19 percent of Democrats are convinced that the time has come to fight back against the fictional location where the 1992 animated classic Aladdin is set.

Public Policy Polling recently released data on their newest survey of GOP voters. Among the most salient findings was that slightly under one of every three conservatives polled responded affirmatively to the question, “Would you support or oppose bombing Agrabah?”

.... Then again, many of the other poll findings indicate that those who participated in the research are none too concerned with political correctness. In addition to supporting the campaign to bomb Agrabah, more than a quarter of the Republicans asked said that it should be illegal to practice Islam in the United States.

Also notable, nearly half of those respondents supported proposals to create a massive database of Muslim Americans for national security purposes. That same number also supported disallowing adherents of Islam to enter the U.S. Just over a quarter believe that the government should shut down mosques that are already here, perhaps fearing that bombing Agrabah would not sufficiently divert the threat of terrorism. <<

"First Amendment" huh?

I totally agree because a person's hurt feelings is a good reason to do away with freedom of speech. If you want to win that argument then go ahead but, honestly, is this an argument you want to win?

If you want to know who is running things, just find out who you are not allowed to critique.

We all need a swift kick in the ass every now and then because we deserve it and need it to help keep us in line

What is frightening about this video is that Yale is historically one of those universities where the best and brightest come from. They are the future leaders in the US.

So has the left groomed an entire generation to surrender the first amendment? It seems so. How does that bode for our future freedoms?

You're easily amused by heavily edited joke videos huh?

1 in 4 republicans said it should be illegal to practice islam in the United States?

So much for their 1st amendment arguments.

You almost gotta laugh that the American federal education system finally succeeded with Ivy League college students having no idea of the Bill of Rights and the greatest system of government ever created on the face of the earth. Thank you democrats.

The first amendment works in the favor of liberals. We are too busy crying "violation of our rights!" rather than getting angry at how undefined policies only weaken our resistance against the establishment.

Think about it. The nation abuses its powers. The nation claims to uphold the constitution. We cannot overthrow the nation because we like the constitution. See the dillema? I do.

You DO have to laugh at all the mental midgets that take a heavily edited YouTube video as an actual "poll".

SMH

if the current regime is any indication of "the best and brightest", we need to destroy Yale!! and choose a bunch of high school drop outs to run the country, i believe we will be much better off.

It's not a poll. It's an actual rendition of what idiot Ivy League students think is a poll. Isn't that disturbing enough?

Those students were all spawned by Progressive Liberal Pukes and they believe it is real. Buncha potheads.

Actually it's a heavily edited YouTube video purporting to be a poll.
Where's the methodology? In the imagination, that's where.
And the source is a heavily biased one (Fox Noise) and even THEY describe the videographer as a "satirist".

You and the OP got played here like a five dollar banjo.

Nonsense.

First Amendment jurisprudence defines the relationship between government and those governed, protecting the right of citizens to worship as they see fit, to express themselves freely, and to assemble for peaceful protest; it establishes what forms of speech and expressions are entitled to Constitutional protections and what are not, it prohibits the codification of religious doctrine into secular law in accordance with the Framers' mandate that church and state remain separate, and it acknowledges the fact that although inalienable, our rights are not absolute, and subject to reasonable restrictions by government, including the rights enshrined in the First Amendment.

Rather than whining about your rights being 'violated,' instead research that jurisprudence to determine if in fact a 'violation' has taken place.

The Regressive Left has been very consistent and very patient, creating an environment of restricted freedom of expression without actually having to touch the First Amendment.

They've done it through the culture, using our own freedoms against us. Americans from coast to coast know that if they dare say what they're actually thinking, there will be "consequences". A smart and terrible tactic, at the same time.

We'll see if the current pushback works, or if they're able to continue this strategy.

And your solution is the abolishment of all law, of all protection of rights by the government.

And with no laws, how do you propose society operate?
