Citing new evidence that the Haslam administration attempted to improperly influence a recent union election at the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, lawyers for the United Auto Workers have filed an extensive supplement to a petition asking that the election results be thrown out.

In a five-page filing with the National Labor Relations Board, the UAW cited internal state documents and emails that union lawyers claim show that the state threatened to withdraw $300 million in promised incentives to Volkswagen of America if the vote to unionize was successful.

Report: Tennessee offered incentives tied to VW vote

If the evidence holds up someone needs to do jail time.
Maybe even volkswagen to move their plant elsewhere. Which would not happen but it would be nice if everything points to the influence put out to sway votes.

So what? the state knew that the UAW would turn it into a large copy of detroit if they came into power. Tenn did the right thing and nothing about it was illegal.

the UAW destroyed Detroit and much of the american auto industry. The auto factories and their workers in the south are smart enough to realize that.

It seems breaking the law to gain favor is something you dismiss so easily.
:cuckoo:

Yeah, so what! So what that state officials, elected officials, intimidated employees of VW by threatening to withdraw money. So what that they made up lies about VW's intentions. Scumbags, the lot of them.
