Aw, shucks.

From the OP's CNN link:

"With her victory, the former state lawmaker will flip the seat held for nearly half a century by the late GOP Rep. Don Young, and is set to become the first Alaska Native in Congress"

How about them apples?

She only has the seat until January. The House election for a regular term is in November. You idiots need to learn how shit works in our government.

Noting that Palin LOST, which she did, and you think you are providing useful information about the election in November.
Everyone is pretty observant to the FACT that there will be an election in November you twit, and this seat will be up for grabs again in November.

Where did ANYONE mention otherwise?

O'rly?

Masters, the GOP Senate nominee in Arizona, said on his campaign website that he supported "a federal personhood law" — until Thursday.
So he took it down, correct?

Wouldn't that require a Constitutional Amendment, that would stand no chance of passing?

“The Democrat was outspent 4-to-1 by Palin.”

Also, Alaska’s Ranked Choice Voting referendum was passed in 2020 along with a special “transparency” section that forced exposure of all “dark money” contributions over $2,000. This was an important reform in itself. The referendum was pushed by a bipartisan and “independent” group of legislators and “good gov’t” activists which included the Women’s League of Voters and the Libertarian Party.

For more details, see Alaska Ballot Measure 2, Top-Four Ranked-Choice Voting and Campaign Finance Laws Initiative (2020)

Dear Republicans,

Keep pretending that Dobbs and Trump don’t matter to the electorate.

Sincerely,

The Real World

Ok

What are you demanding that repubs do to satisfy blood thirsty lib women who want to kill innocent children?

From Mother Jones last June...

"Even for those who aren’t closely following the intricacies of Alaska politics, there are plenty of reasons not to ignore this race. For one thing, although the state is small in population, its congressional delegation helps secure disproportionate amounts of funding (last year, Alaskans got about $24,000 per capita in federal funding, compared to less than $15,000 for other sparsely populated states like Wyoming and Vermont). And whoever wins could have the chance to shape national politics for decades. Young represented Alaska for 49 years, and his seat was pretty much glued to him—even putting a knife to GOP ex-Speaker John Boehner’s throat didn’t threaten his job security. Seniority is power in Congress: If your predecessor coasted to reelection for half a century, you could be looking at the literal gig of a lifetime. Visualize Sarah Palin in Washington well into her eighties. (At the same time, the new ranked-choice voting system may help reduce long stints of incumbency.)"

I for one did not pay much attention to this race. The above explains a huge prize was at stake for Palin.
Winners and losers.
