GOP Poised to Retake Senate in November

Although I am no cheerleader of the GOP the current crop of Socialist dingbats in the Democrat (no ic, no such thing as Democratic meaning Democrat) party makes this welcome news. These American hating Socialists have nearly destroyed this nation.

Nice. Their antics over Obama's last 2 years will be a big boost for Dems 2016 Prez candidate

Keep dreaming.. Americans will not soon trust another liberal to lead this nation. You kooks and your boy king have finally taken the masks off and Americans can see what you're all about..

There are more blue seats up for grabs than red seats. The Republicans should do well in that environment:

In 2016, there are more red seats up for grabs than blue. The Democrats should do well then as well:

The GOP should have 53-55 seats going into 2016 and 47-48 after.

And those would be what??

Another 50 bills to overturn Obamacare forcing vetoes; bills to strip away more wealth from the middle income Americans which will be vetoed, bills to strip away more necessary regulation and allow more corporate malfeasance as we saw in West, Texas and West Virginia. An expansion on the GOP war on women, homosexuals, and minorities.

You know, what you guys have been doing in the House for 6 years now.

I can't tell the future bud. But 2 years of a republican controlled senate and house will surely result in some hilarious fuck ups with all the teapers currently in the mix

The eight Senators retiring are:

1) Max Baucus of Montana. Democrat. The polls have the Republican candidate ahead of the Democratic candidate for Bauscus's seat.

2) Carl Levin of Michigan. Democrat. The polls have the Democratic candidate ahead of the Republican candidate for Levin's seat.

3) Tom Harkin of Iowa. Democrat. The polls show the two candidates neck and neck for Harkin's seat.

4) Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia. Democrat. The polls show the Republican candidate with a strong lead over the Democratic candidate for Rockefeller's seat.

5) Tim Johnson of South Dakota. Democrat. The polls show the Republican with a strong lead over the Democratic candidate for Johnson's seat. There are two spoiler candidates in the South Dakota race.

6) Tom Coburn of Oklahoma. Republican. Coburn is retiring two years before the end of his term, and so a special election has to be held this November. He will probably be replaced by Republican candidate James Lankford.

7) Saxby Chambliss of Georgia. Republican. Georgia has not yet held its Republican primary. Democrat Michelle Nunn won with nearly 75% of the vote in the Democratic primary. She is the daughter of Sam Nunn, who was much beloved in Georgia.

8) Mike Johanns of Nebraska. Republican, quitting after only one term. The polls show the Republican candidate has a very comfortable lead over the Democratic candidate to replace Johanns.

As for the remaining Senators who are up for re-election, the history of the past half century shows that the US Senate has about an 80 percent re-election rate for incumbents who choose to run for re-election.

A Republican House and Senate and a Democratic President didn't turn out too badly in the 90s. And the GOP was very poorly disposed toward the Democratic President, even impeaching him at one point. ;)

Former Democrats who have switch to independent will now vote Republican for first time in life. Clinton kids of 1990's are now graduating college and starting families. They will become conservatives as well.

I think Congress will pass a bunch of bills that have been held up by Dingy Harry. A lot of Democrats up for election will support them.

That will leave Dear Leader with a tough decision - whether or not to veto them. If he does veto, that gives the GOP a huge advantage for seeking a GOP president in 2016.

There is one thing to consider - American voters seem to prefer that government does little or nothing. They continually vote for one side to oppose the other. So, in 2016, we will either see a GOP Congress and a Democrat president - or vice versa.

Depends how many "dreamers" they manage to get enrolled and voting...
