well we dont have Brown recluse out here....in spite of what has been said by some......so if he got bit by one he was out of State.....

So what was the deal with this band BTW? I never got into Slayer but metal heads I knew and respected thought they were great. Was the hell thing all an act or for real? Is it bad form to say "Hell Awaits you, Jeff Hanneman," or was that the goal?

It's tongue-in-cheek.

There were 3 members of the band that wrote songs. All the anti-Chrisitian songs were written by Kerry King, the other guitarist. The singer (Tom Araya) writes songs about Serial killers, and Jeff Hanneman used to write songs about history and Nazis.

The singer of Slayer is a practicing Catholic, actually.
