So...the encounter starts with the thug pointing the gun at the senior citizen....the senior draws his gun and shoots the thug 2 times....soooooo

so much for the ideas that the good guy will just get shot....

so much for a young thug trying to rob a senior...the gun the senior had made the difference...

the senior was not easily disarmed...

the fact that the thug had his gun out did not save him....

Of course, the only time there are "bystanders" during such an event is when there are a bunch of retarded thugs standing around, not helping the victim....

This happens all the time, an armed, law-abiding victim successfully defending himself against an aggressive criminal.

You'll rarely hear about it in the mainstream media, though. Just as you almost never hear about gang members shooting each other (though they do that all the time too, far more than any other kind of shooting).

The media would much rather put up lurid headlines about a child getting shot, while ignoring fifty gangbangers getting shot or five hundred innocent people using their own gun to ward off a criminal. That way they can give everyone the (false) impression that the only thing guns are ever used for, is shooting innocent children.
