I can certainly understand why some people thought the Sandy Hook incident was faked.
1) It's a well known fact that the government employs crisis actors.
2) Before the bodies were even cold, authoritarian Democrats were trying to use it as an excuse the rescind civil rights.
3) A guy who is the father of a victim appeared to be putting on a show for the news cameras. He was smiling and laughing then suddenly started acting like a grieving parent when they put him on the air.
That caused some people to jump to the conclusion that the whole thing was faked without considering more plausible reasons that the guy would be faking grief for the news camera.
It's possible that he didn't even like the kid or suspected that his wife cheated on him and it's not even his kid. He could be glad that the kid is dead.
It's also possible that he just doesn't feel grief because he's a psychopath. It's estimated that between 1% and 4% of men are psychopaths. He could be one of them.
IMO, those possibilities are much more plausible than a staged fake mass shooting.
