I wasn't in LA today. Were they carrying Mexican flags, or Red flags?

Usually they carry American flags then leave them in the gutter.

Yup, Putin is determined to bring back the old USSR.

No, Putin's just aware that tribalism binds the nation (not country, nation). And what better way to do that by resurrecting a pagan tradition that excludes, by the circumstances of its inception, non-White Russians.

It's really remarkable that Russia celebrating May Day is somehow bad while the US celebrating May Day, mostly by Mexicans is somehow good.
