Iran has been asking us to remove the sanctions. I think I remember their saying that would be a precondition to meeting with them. I could be wrong, but I know you are.

I didn't say that sanctions prevent war. I said they can get results without bloodshed. We've not gone to a physical war with China or Russia and they are heavily sanctioned. The Biden admins failed meeting in Alaska showed that the Chinese are seriously pissed about them.

My opinion about the Gulf Wars were that the Bushes were anxious to get into them. The invasion of Kuwait was the main catalyst for GHWB. The lies about chemical weapons worked for GWB. Both of them were war mongers.
