That piece from 60 minutes interviewing Steve Schmidt was nothing but a calculated hit piece on Palin. Schmidt was doing damage control because he had failed to manage McCains campaign in a proper manner. Palin was just being herself backstage mocking Biden by pronouncing his last name like that. She would have said it properly in the formal format in the debate. Schmidt was a sore loser and blamed his problems on Palin who when introduced made McCain jump ahead of Obama in the polls. It is also been reported that Schmidt was actually a Romney operative that sabotaged McCain's campaign by suggesting he suspend it during the most critical time of the presidential campaign to go back to Washington to deal with the bailout. Palin opposed and thought it would be a dangerous mistake. She was right. When McCain suspended it formally, Obama and the media used that to his advantage and labeled McCain a Washington insider establishment crony and put the nail in McCains coffin.
