Supposing in the Old Testament, of the Code of Moses, that anyone for centuries could read a commandment, "Provide a successively greater usury, in greater degree to the successively less well-off among you," then the Seattle vote would never have happened. Seattle would already have been way richer than just that.

Code of Moses, instead, prohibited usury among the Hebrews. Non-Hebrews, however, could be successively the greater screwed, the less well-off they were. Usury was some nature of blessing to be bestowed among the neighbors, as in, "Oh, Bullshit! Oh, Bullshit! Oh, Bullshit!" It would be Jesus Ben Joseph, Son of Mary, Called, "O'Christ," who would offer the free market remedy as an equal amount raise, regardless if the laborers had worked all the day or not, (Matt 20:1-16). Spending money these people would have had.

And history notes that (1) the speaker of the parables would actually be killed off, and (2) most especially the Romans--of the Imperial Persuasion--would become involved with that. End of Matter. History would go on, to Believe! A Church would rise up, around it.

Outcome: Mostly, in history, the free market does not exist. A marketplace among the rich only becomes the norm--over and over again. That gets celebrated in the United States as the concept, "Trickle Down Economics." A market is not expected to exist among the poor. Most recently the mortgage crisis happened, (Matthew 24:14-30). The doubling of the talents is what usury is all about. The lowest income "gainer" is successively worse off, with each such raise. The poor cannot possibly keep up, or pay the rents and mortgages.

So For Some in Seattle, then the planet then goes back to basics, as opposed to the Roman Codes, or the atrocity of the actual Code of Moses.
