• Confidential IRS policies instruct IRS employees not to tell taxpayers when someone else uses their social security number to earn income
• The IRS allows illegal immigrants to "borrow" social security numbers that do not legally belong to them
• The IRS is discontinuing a program to notify taxpayers when their social security number is used by someone else to gain employment

So apparently the IRS is on board with identity theft by illegals!!!

Yup. I have 7 illegals using my social security number. It took a FOIA request, followed up by a lawsuit, to get the info I needed.

My Mom had her mail stolen and said it's been happening alot in your neighborhood (upscale and affluent.) Had to get a PO Box and have everything changed to it. Some indications it's ID theft as well.

Whenever the conservatives or republicans criticize the IRS a mirror should appear before their face. They are the ones who want it defunded or abolished. What a weird bunch of unconscious hypocrites. Imagine if an effort were made to fund it properly and investigate thoroughly tax returns? The right would be screaming then too, you can't destroy government institutions and then whine about it.

No, what is remarkable is how progressives wish to give more money and power to an organization that has already proven itself to be a corrupt group. The best thing possible would be to go to a simplified tax system that does away with the IRS altogether. It would be fairer to the poor and middle class, the rich would end up paying more because they could no longer rely on their high paid tax attorneys to reduce the amount they must pay etc.

Basically everything you seem to support screws over the middle class and helps enrich the rich. What's your problem?
