Basically, Franken is applying McConnell "logic" regarding his refusal to EVEN allow Obama's nominee for the SCOTUS, Judge Garland, a hearing......

One of the highlights of this speech was when Franken suggested the GOP apply their own reasoning to the Republican-led Congress.

If we were to truly subscribe to the Majority Leader’s logic and extend it to the legislative branch, it would yield an absurd result.

• Senators would become ineffective in the last year of their term.
• The 28 senators who are now in the midst of their reelection campaigns and the 6 senators who are stepping down should be precluded from casting votes in committee or on the Senate floor.

Obama refused to meet with the GOP for more than a year after becoming President, by-passing Congress, ruling by EO, and violating both Constitution and law many times over 8 years.

Democrats used their near Super Majority control of Congress and the Presidency to ram minority-supported pieces of Socialist agenda /Obama legacy-driven legislation into law against the majority opposition of the people, as was the case with the ACA.

Democrats declared they believed SO MUCH that EVERY judge deserves an up or down vote that they created the REID RULE to ensure that happened in the future...

And now 39+ DEMOCRATS are planning to filibuster a USSC Justice nominee in order to prevent him from having an up or down vote IN DEFIANCE OF THEIR OWN 'REID RULE', proving that when they declared EVERY judge should have an up or down vote all they REALLY meant was that only THEIR judge nominees should get such a vote.

Again...and they wonder why they have l most over 1,000 political seats and 2 historic, record-setting elections in a row....

We have freedom of religion in America. Pence is welcome to be a Christian. This is not part of your Caliphate. Congress cannot make Christianity the official religion of America and force all people to convert or die, the way you Muslims do wherever you have power.
