Senator with an A rating from the NRA

So, which one of you will point out exactly how this bill would have made anyone safer ? Or will you continue to lament your saviors fail ?

Have you read the statistics about how many people fail background checks and how many are arrested by state and federal authorities after failing background checks - including at gun shows?

We are not talking statistics, the failure of this bill is the topic. Please, point out one item in the bill that addresses any aspect of any mass shooting that has happened in this country. You cant, and you will not. You lost.

Had the bill passed - more gun buyers would have failed background checks. It doesn't take a mental giant to realize that some lives would be saved in the future.

As for Newtown and Adam Lanza - had he not killed his mother she would have likely faced deep legal trouble for knowingly allowing her disturbed son access to firearms.

Any law that impairs the ability of dangerous people to get their hands on guns makes us safer,

if only a little. What is wrong, exactly, with being a little safer.

But apparently more than you're capable of. No one is any safer. Of the mass murders committed recently the vast majority could and did pass any background check out there.

People who lawfully attempt to purchase firearms yes, but specifically, Adam Lanza or any of the other mass shooters from the last ten years, hell, the last 40 years. What impact would this have had, and how would it have saved the life of the child of the parents behind Obama today ?

What's the difference if you concede that law would make us safer?

So you are saying law abiding gun owners are a threat now ? How so?

Gun Bill Background Check Amendment Fails, Other Key Provisions Follow

I do love it when liberals start their somewhere over the rainbow schtick.

People should take responsibility for their own safety and for the safety of their families.

Silly, repressive federal legislation isn't going to do it.

The government cannot protect us. Trusting it to do so is folly.

Not many.
Was there a point you were trying to make?

Criminal record top reason for U.S. gun-check rejection - CNN.com

Sadly, few are prosecuted.

Refusing to accept people who have been in prison back into society is the main reason for recidivism. Do you think there's a criminal gene? Why shouldn't someone who has paid his debt to society have his full rights restored?
