My point was that there was a large number of armed LE officers inside of the House Chamber. There were 8 in just that one photo. How many do you think it would take to defend a barricaded door against unarmed protesters? I'm thinking 1 would do the trick? Those members were never in any real danger and anyone who claims they were is fear mongering.

This kind of stuff happens in law enforcement all the time. BLM was created because of the aggression law enforcement inflicted on blacks…. I’m all for better training and standards when it comes to deescalation in law enforcement. But the fact remains that Byrd acted in accordance with his training. Y’all can try and assassinate his character all you want but this issue was investigated by multiple agencies and deemed a righteous shooting. That’s how it is
Doesn’t matter. It was all in progress and at the time Byrd was at that door it was his job to protect the hallway. That’s what he did. That’s why he got an accommodation following that day

No part but that’s not what happened here. Warnings were given and testified to by witnesses. And a barrier was destroyed and breached by a protestor trying to get to the chamber of Congress. The cop had no way of knowing of anybody was armed or not. The crowd was obviously angry and violent and destructive and willing to break the law. So when the officers actions were reviewed by two separate agencies both cleared his actions. Those are the facts
He wasn’t protecting an empty hallway he was protecting the people in the room at the end of the hallway by keeping the hallway secure. And it wasn’t me who promoted him it was the capital police after investigating the incident with much more evidence than you’re going off.

What warnings? The only warnings audible on the multitude of cell phones that recorded the murder of Ashli Babbitt come from the protesters themselves! That coward Byrd stepped out and shot someone without uttering a word. Why would someone do that? To protect an empty hallway? Seriously? And then he's REWARDED for what he did? The investigations done have a palpable STENCH emanating from them! They needed to make Ashli Babbitt a far right terrorist intent on harming members of Congress and in doing that they had to make Michael Byrd a "hero"! That narrative should turn the stomach of anyone with a sense of decency.
