Singer backing startups for former inmates

This is how ya do it.

Singer John Legend is teaming up with New Profit and Bank of America to help ex-cons start businesses.

Just one idea, here and there, finding win/win situations and ignoring the noise from the nutters.

Some people are part of the problem. Maybe he'll be part of the solution.

That's a sensible thing to try to help ex-cons do. It is because the current culture in the U.S. is such that many employers, and nearly all of them that pay $100K/year or more salaries, are unwilling to hire ex-convicts; consequently, ex-convicts' best option for making a decent living is to be self-employed.

I don't know whether or not that's so, but I'm willing to take your word for it.
