So long Bernie Sanders

Who am I kidding? The dems won't blink an eye but if it were a republican? Heads would explode

Bernie Sanders Once Wrote That Women Fantasize About Being Gang-Raped

Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders wrote an essay in 1972 that women fantasize about being raped by multiple men.

“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy. A woman on her knees, a woman tied up, a woman abused,” the Vermont senator wrote in the now-defunct Vermont Freeman. “A woman enjoys intercourse with her man — as she fantasizes being raped by 3 men simultaneously.”

Sanders was 30-years-old at the time of publication.

Not that I have any interest in Sanders as president, but ya'think he might have changed his views over the last 43 years?

and isn't that a bit far back to dig up dirt?

Especially on someone that has less chance than Palin of getting the nomination?

Lets worry about todays issues, hmmm?
You're kidding right? After the shit storm about Romney cutting some kids hair and putting his dog on the roof? Or after bush's dwi or Cains so called affairs......the list goes on.

Fuck you, OWN IT

All the way back to 1972 no less.

I can't wait for the scandalous kindergarten drawings to come out.

Republicans are fair game for that kind research, why not the Dems?

Bernie's not a "Dem". Oops.
Research is all well and good. Lying about what you found -- not so much.

He's running for the Dems presidential nomination, or did you miss that.

Given the system is rigged by money interests, what party would you suggest he use, seeing as how he doesn't have one?

No argument from me about money interests. There is the 3rd party route.

Yes there is, and the legacy of Presidents Perot, Nader, Anderson et al are a testament to how viable that is.

Big Media owns the Presidency. They and their cosponsors the Demoplican/Republicrat Party® will decide which two products we may choose, and we will choose from that list only. You hive your orders.

The Conservatives are clearly terrified by Bernie Sander's campaign! Why else would they even be researching him, if they really thought he was an irrelevant Socialist?

The difference is you only have to go back just a few years to find embarrassing info on Republicans.

Oh there is plenty of recent stuff on Hillary. And if Sanders does make some headway, you can believe there is more to follow. Besides anything a Republican did 40 plus years ago is fair game as well.

Let's see, Hillary defended her husband's serial infidelity and abuse of women during the 1980's and the 1990's and ample evidence indicates the abuse of political power to silence women with programs like "the bimbo eruption squad". Democrat activist researchers (Media Matters?) found an essay by Sanders dated 1972 about alleged female fantasy? Which candidate is the greatest threat to women?
:dunno: Ted Cruz?
The answer I would expect from union educated progs.

I'm curious, what's the supposed scandal?

He wrote a weird article more than 40 years ago. So what?
George Bush got into the air guard 40 years ago, so what?
George Bush had a DUI 35 years ago, so what?
Dont pretend that Democrats havent patented the dirt-digging game and used it effectively over the last 20 years or more. They dig up stuff that happened who knows how long ago and pretend it was yesterday and the person is unfit. Recall Romney putting his dog on the roof of his car. That was probably 15 years earlier, if not more. So what? But to Democrats it meant he was totally unfit for office.
Again, if a Ted Cruz had penned this the Left would be demanding indictments.
You reap what you sew.

The whole "you did it first" thing is an excuse, not a reason for why it's a scandal.

Give me an argument as to why I should be upset about this, not why you think it's an ok tactic to use against him.

That's my point: No one should be upset by it. No one should particularly care.
Now give me an argument why that attitude should only apply to Democrat candidates and not GOP candidates.

Are you somehow under the impression that I am somehow in control over what the general public cares about?

OK, so we agree that what a person thought or did in the distant past really has little to no bearing on how we view them. So when Steve Scalise allegedly spoke at a David Duke event over 20 years ago we need to ignore that. Right?

Sanders doesn't stand a chance getting out of the primaries, let a lone get near the general election.

I certainly don't think it's relevant.

But I don't care what "the people" choose to care about. It's too tiring.

Because I like to argue. Why else?

That's the point of a message board.

I don't care about the what the general public thinks, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to argue with an individual (or individuals) about it if I think they're wrong.

I happen to like Bernie Sanders. I don't think he'd be a good President, and there's absolutely no chance that he'll come close to winning, but he's a crank, and so am I.

It's a shame, he is probably the most honest member of congress. Never a hint of scandal. Not afraid of the plutocracy. Not electable.

Yep.

I've met him a few times - Vermont is my other home, and he's a big guy there. Not like it matters in the long run, the whole state of Vermont has less people in it than a neighborhood in Brooklyn does.

As much as I like him as a guy, he's nothing more than CSPAN comic relief.

Do you REALLY believe that shit you're slinging, there?

REALLY?

Very few others do - at least amongst most folks over the age of ten.

Sanders is just there For Show - to make a pretense that Her Imperial Corruptness, Shrillary, actually has competition for the Democratic nomination.

You're not fooling anybody.

Neither is Sanders.

Especially women... at least, not now, after this revelation.
