A Minor Mystery Of WWII

"—the forty-four days beginning with Rudolf Hess’s flight to Britain and ending with Hitler’s invasion of Russia—represents the turning point of the entire Second World War, of the entire twentieth century. In the spring of 1941, Adolf Hitler held the future of the world in his hands."
Greg Iles

Imagine what would have been if Hitler had gained England's agreement.

While not within the scope of this particular thread, a study of Western Civilization, and particularly of America's history, there appears to be numerous events subsequent to the founding can be seen as the Hand of God, Providence, Nature’s God, the Divine….all terms used in the Declaration of Independence…..in our American journey.

"All right, then. Yes, there was a group of Nazi appeasers-very highly

placed-who wanted to make a deal with Hitler. That's been proved. Or

at least it's being proved, by an Oxford academic. The question is, was

that group sincere? Do you follow me, Stern? Were the members of this

group English fascists who loved the swastika? Or simply war profiteers

out for all the gold they could get? Were they paranoid anticommunists

who wanted peace at any price so that Hitler would be free to crush

Russia? Or d here's the rub-were they patriotic Englishmen leading

Hitler by the nose until it was too late for him to invade England?"
Greg Iles, "Spandau Phoenix"

I would ask for the names of these "appeasers", and how influential they were.

Hess went looking for the Duke of Hamilton, but not surprisingly, the poor guy had no idea what he was talking about.

Are you saying you wanted Hitler to win the war?

That's crazy, even for you!

Hitler felt he could convince the British to join in the fight against what Hitler felt was EUROPES natural enemy, the Asian horde epitomized by the USSR
....and Jews.

Remember, England promised the Jews Israel, then blocked every European Jew from gaining acces to 'the promised land."

"....realistically middle sized Germany could not defeat the much larger Ussr in the long term. Germany would have eventually surrendered to the western allies to prevent total occupation by the USSR ..."
So did the Red Army really singlehandedly defeat the Third Reich Stuff I Done Wrote - The Michael A. Charles Online Presence (comment)

"Between June 22, 1941, and January 31, 1942, the Germans had lost 6,000 airplanes and more than 3,200 tanks and similar vehicles; and no less than 918,000 men had been killed, wounded, or gone missing in action, amounting to 28.7 percent of the average strength of the army, namely, 3,2 million men.[33]

(In the Soviet Union, Germany would lose no less than 10 million of its total 13.5 million men killed, wounded, or taken prisoner during the entire war; and the Red Army would end up claiming credit for 90 per cent of all Germans killed in the Second World War.)

Franklin Roosevelt was the vassal to Joseph 'Koba' Stalin.

Jewish communists were trying to overthrow every Euro government they could under the banner of communism. Jewish German communists fought against Germany in WW1 because if Germany lost they would take over and they did. That's why they got rounded up and sent to death camps, even the innocent ones.

I spent about a month in Berlin in 1963. He was there in the Berlin prison at that time.

Hardly. A short nuclear war in 1947 would have devastated the USSR, but the fallout wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the US
America has only used nuclear weapons when those wouldn't make the conquered territory useless to exploit. That's no different with the Zionists not using nuclear weapons to finish off the Palestinian people. And maybe also that in less than two years, America couldn't nuke an ally and sell it as the fight against the commies.

America slaughtered millions of people in Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Korea, and about 35 others, but care enough to pretend to save the Ukrainian people.

Trump said it Joe and you have acknowledged that in your latest comments. Now you're back to proclaiming that Trump wouldn't know what he was talking about. Or was it vice versa?

Thank you.

Yes, Hitler did say that about his favorite.

But did Hess suddenly go crazy?

Why?
Suddenly go crazy?

It is hard to tell just how crazy the man was, in comparison to just not being that bright. Keep in mind, the line between stupidity and insanity is often thin. He was the first volunteer in the Hitler cult, so Hitler was fond of him for that reason and I think felt obligated to keep him under his wing for his loyalty and early support when no one else believed in him.

Business?

I know you didn't visit Spandau, no one was allowed.

And he was the only prisoner there at the end, prisoner #7.

BTW, I hope you recognize why I chose to post this today.....

On August 17, 1987, Rudolph Hess, at one time the number two Nazi, died of suicide at Spandau Prison, Berlin. He was 93. What was he doing in Scotland?

Germany's higher education system is renowned for its emphasis on academic freedom, practical relevance, and strong research infrastructure. The country has a long and rich history of education, dating back to the Middle Ages when the first German universities were established.” International University of Applied Sciences

One should carefully consider this before making the mistake that education is related to morality. It isn’t.

  • Germany and The Soviet Union are related in that during the period around WWII, both were led by the philosophy of Karl Marx. Both were socialist/communist. And very much like the current Democrat Party, both were of the Left.
  • Hitler’s aggressions in Europe were resourced by the larger and more resourse-rich Soviet Union
  • The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, also known as the Nazi-Soviet Pact or the Hitler-Stalin Pact, was a non-aggression pact signed by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union on August 23, 1939, shortly before World War II” AI Overview
  • Archival footage shows Nazi and Russian officers partying together. The USSR became the supplier of oil, iron ore, construction materials for Hitler's Blitzkrieg. And trainloads of grain, even while Russians were starving.

It shouldn't be a mystery if he was questioned for four days and imprisoned in England. Are the Brits still keeping his record classified?

Yet it is a mystery, and there are myriad of theories, and there wouldn't be if all records were available.

Smithsonian has an article...

"Yet a persistent theory has suggested that Hess's ill-fated peace mission was actually carried out with Hitler's knowledge—and the understanding that he'd be disavowed as insane if it failed."

For myself, the question has always been 'why did Hitler continue with a suicidal Operation Barbarossa if he didn't get a positive response from Hess/the Brits?'

He must have known what Napoleon faced in Russia.

But I am religious, and see an explanation there.
