It could happen, but it's not likely. Republicans have a very big advantage when it comes to Congressional races due to the fact they were able to control the redistricting in so many states this past round. What they are missing though, is the fact that demographics are quickly changing. Their big concern isn't 2014, or even 2016, but 2018 and 2020. If they continue to paint themselves into this ultra-conservative corner, they are going to lose their identity as a viable party.
