Here comes the fake news.. Election time is getting closer... Trump said he hates Milwaukee!

how do you tell if they are lying?

they claim unverified unidentified sources is a good indication.

Because that’s where economic opportunity comes from.

Sitting in front of your TV isn’t close to comparable.

I take a few vacations a year. Almost always a direct flight.

Sure you’re a pretentious ass. That’s why you’re spending so much time that you have it so much better than everyone else.

I don’t spend 14 hours smoking brisket. I know where to find the best brisket in my city. These guys are pros. They’ve been doing it for decades. They set up every weekend at a brewery that had one of my favorite Czech style pilsners. Often with live music.

Probably because you don’t know anyone who is ambitious. If you are happier staying home in your own little world, be my guest.
A sentence I've never heard...

"I can't wait to retire so I can move to the city.'

P.S. - No brisket is as good as my brisket...ask anyone that does it... They'll tell ya.

Country people can’t afford to retire in the city.

City people can afford to retire in the country.

Happens more often than you think. Sometimes downsizing means trading in that rural/suburban land and it’s maintenance for a condo downtown in walking distance to most amenities.

Negative...nobody wants to.

The city is where you used to be forced to go to get a good job.

Remote work is going to guy the cities. As soon as they can telecommute, they get out as fast as they can. And there is data for this one.

Too scared. Too poor. Too ignorant.

Some people don’t belong in the city. They can’t make it.

No one believes you. Cities suck and very few live their by choice.

But that's going to change, thanks to technology.

Hell, it's already changing. They're fleeing the hellholes as fast as they can.

You can have the last word.

Trump threw the hate Milwaukee crap out there just to bait the media. Like most things politicians say, I take it as worthy of an: "in one ear, out the other" attitude.

Except he didn’t. He said it in a private meeting

It's not cheap anymore.

I've been trying to find a house for my parents in town. Houses that were $100k ten years ago are $300k now.

Telecommuting.
FFS, you were just saying how much cheaper it was to live in the country.

But yeah, Joplin MO. That’s where everyone is dying to go.

I said I bought my house 10 years ago.

What is cheaper is everything else.

Eggs, bread, milk, gas, taxes, insurance.

And you think real estate values in the country are comparable to the city?

You’re insane.
